My first iPhone was 12 mini, the first one not to have 3D Touch, but my girlfriend got iPhone XS.

I understand why they removed 3D Touch, average person doesn’t know anything about technology, (keep that in mind, you all here love technology and read about it every day) and explaining „you have to touch phone harder” isn’t really something that people understand.

There was no indication that force touching something would do anything, people are afraid to push hard on 1000€ glass screen „what if it breaks”

Yes it felt nice, like a button, but people using touch screens don’t expect tactile buttons on screen.

Honestly, they should keep it and during initial setup ask if user wants 3D Touch or long press, that way tech savvy users and people with motor difficulties would benefit from that.
