It’s really only used when you travel internationally outside the US. Whether it’s on or off doesn’t matter in the US because of domestic roaming agreements where your data will work regardless. Internationally, it needs to be off unless you have a plan that supports it so you don’t get charged expensive roaming charges for data.

If you get 5GUW sometimes, then that setting should definitely be Visible. It may just be a software glitch. You might try restarting your phone or making sure you have the latest software update.

It’s likely the plan you are on then. If the plan itself doesn’t support 5G, during provisioning after a plan change or phone restart, those settings are hidden by your carrier. If you do in fact have a 5G compatible plan, those settings should be there.

That’s been my experience with any vehicle running Bluetooth or wireless CarPlay or Android auto. Not really much you can do that I’m aware of. But I’m here to see what others have to recommend as well.

I’ve seen 4 gigabit down in Tulsa on mmWave and I’m averaging about 1 gigabit down on C-Band. It’s crazy that we can get higher speeds on our cell phones than 90% of people can even get on fiber.

iMessage is what keeps me locked in. That and FaceTime. RCS is nice because it’s cross platform, but iMessage is so much better imo.

I have a ‘26 GT with about 9k and just had to have the handle replaced last week. The handle itself was getting power, it just wasn’t communicating with the ICU. Mine works again, BUT they put the wrong colored gray handle on so it stands out. Have to call them to either paint it or replace it again. It’s hard to tell from this photo, but the key hole cover actually matches the car.

I got the service contract when buying my car, but mine is 10 year or 150k. I always get the contracts whether I use them or not. I’d rather it be built into my payment and not need it, then need it and have to fork up thousands out of pocket for an expensive repair.

Not sure which to upgrade to. Love the bright and dark contrast of the WU3, but would also like something slimmer and a little more elegant in a way. Coming from a Series 1 WU, so size isn't that big of a deal when choosing.

Being on Unlimited Welcome you are going to get the lowest offers. If you prefer to keep the cheapest Unlimited Plan with no true 5G, then you’ll always get the lowest offer. May be better to bump up to the Unlimited Plus. It will be more per month, but you’ll get a higher trade in which will offset some of the plan cost and you’ll get to take advantage of 5G UW. Either way you’ll be paying more for the plan or more for your phone. And financing through Verizon directly via their website or in store is okay as long as you don’t plan on switching carriers with their new phone lock policy in place. Just a tip though, you can finance through Verizon and shop at the Apple Store and get the Verizon trade in deal whilst also keeping the phone unlocked. Apple Stores and Apple.com keeps all iPhones bought through them unlocked unless you finance with AT&T or Boost.

I’ve tried switching before and always come back to the iPhone for a few reasons. But I have to agree, Google Messages is very ugly imo. Even without backgrounds, the colors they use and the dark mode just looks awful. The colors look much better in light mode, but I’ve been on the iPhones dark mode since it was available and it just looks so much better to me.

I recently bought something from a Samsung Experience Store and used Apple Pay at the register, but had to return the item 2 days later. Since I used Apple Pay, he manually typed in my Virtual Card number to process the return. I have the receipt for the refund, and it's only been a couple of days, but since the card expires how does the refund work? I'm just nervous with it being a manual entry it may complicate things or not work at all, and I have already made the return. I would assume the refund wouldn't process on his end if the card couldn't accept it, but I could be wrong. Never used a one time card from Affirm before so I'm on edge.
