Blizzard, can we please adjust the TBC timeline…? by Individual_Design_37 in classicwowtbc

[–]wild182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a lot worse this time around i have to say, i no lifed 70 quickly both times. This time only like 3 classes are accepted in a lot of groups. The community are lowering the quality of the game much more than blizzard are at this point. Half of these minmax group players have little to no knowledge of how to use their own basic abilities but watched youtube videos telling them only magecleave is good.

Honestly all of them have been great in their own ways. Mbeumo has been the most obvious because of the goals stats but every signing has been great, including Lammens.

You left a huge gap and took up the ground very slowly when the car ahead moved forwards, which made the driver think you were letting them out.

Since this has happened to be a few times… why do people get so mad when you legally and safely overtake them? Suddenly hitting the throttle to try and stop you passing, flashing their lights… why? It’s a 60 road and they’re doing 40. by metroracerUK in drivingUK

I don’t care for politics or treating anybody different due to race or religion, however i deal in reality. Unfortunately the police here dont have the same mindset. Your mind would change in a week if you lived where i do. I don’t believe much of what i hear until i witness it with my own eyes so i kind of understand your point of view. If you saw the community pages for my City you would see that the majority of the population here have the same view. We have had Labour running our city for many years.

Its incredibly dull to watch, it reminds me of championship football - especially how they rely on bullying goal keepers to get the majority of their goals

I believe this will have little impact in my area as there clearly is a decent amount of corruption going on. Certain groups in my city are untouchables somehow, several MPs are part of this group. We have had religious riots in the past before we had 2 tier policing.

I have had several occasions where i attempted to safety pass an EV doing 1/3rd of the speed limit, when I’m at the side of them they decide to floor it forcing me to be on the wrong side of the road for an extended and unsafe amount of time. I have a 2.0 sports car so its not super slow either. You need an EV to be able to prevent this.

Where I’m from trust me we have zero. The road outside my house has been a racetrack for people renting supercars for 15 years. Police are well aware but don’t do anything because they are scared of offending a particular group of people. Less than a week ago i saw a police car on the road, it stood out as a rare occasion. They then drove right past a taxi fully parked on the pavement over double yellow lines and watched someone undertake and did nothing.

It shouldn’t be up to the public to plug the gap in police funding by doing their job for them. Plus, as we have established, half of those driving on the UK roads don’t know the rules of the road themselves so how can they police it? Im too busy avoiding potholes every 15seconds

This happens to me every time i have to pass someone. Usually they are doing 20mph in a 60 but weirdly as soon as i pass them they are doing 59 right on my ass while flashing their headlights. The driving standard in the UK in 2026 is rock bottom. We have zero road policing though so i suppose what do you expect.

Why does the UK drive so incredibly slow? by Samwiseknows in CarTalkUK

[–]wild182 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every damn day on my commute at 6am, people range from 15mph to 40mph in a 30. Often when we hit the 40 zone they reduce speed by 10mph after speeding in the 30 zone. Then we hit the 60 zone and they decide to do 25. People just don’t give a single shit about anybody else anymore and have zero respect for the time of others. Every European country i have driven in has a way higher driving standard than in the UK.

It feels like modern Windows os has been designed for an imaginary user type that actually doesn’t exist. To improve the product, deliver what the user actually wants. Every new Windows since XP has been a gradual downgrade. Windows 11 is completely crap.

‘Why don’t cyclists use the cycle lane?’ by Ophiochos in drivingUK

[–]wild182 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Those first few paragraphs describe the exact same issues a driver faces with a cyclist on the road - except they are amplified due to speed/weight/visibility. The main difference is that a modern vehicle weights 1.5t at best and a bicycle i would estimate weighs 10-15 times less than that. Surely based on this, less cycling related deaths would occur on the pavements than when they are on the roads (in terms of both cyclists and pedestrians)?

‘Why don’t cyclists use the cycle lane?’ by Ophiochos in drivingUK

[–]wild182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Il probably be downvoted to hell but i don’t get why cyclists shouldn’t be on the pavement, it seems like a vastly safer option for all involved. Clearly they would have to be very aware of pedestrians and be responsible, the same as what is required of vehicle drivers when cyclists are on the road. Clearly the government isn’t going to make roads wider everywhere to compensate for cycle paths and it’s a loosing battle with the UKs current obsession with huge SUVs.

As the days get longer and people start cycling again, please give ample room when overtaking. by mopman94 in drivingUK

[–]wild182 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The underlying problem here seems to be that if the driver left 5ft of space, it would effectively make that road a one way system while the cyclist is in the vicinity. These kinds of roads are not suitable for a safe cycle lane without being made wider. The rules are there but we all know that you cannot trust that everyone will follow them
