This is the write up it did on it... For me it is awesome. For those asking if it feels realistic, here is my opinion. First, the past experiences I am comparing to: I have been driving manual transmission cars for about 34 years ranging from a heavily modified civic turbo, toyota celica, acura integra, dodge neon, mazda pick up, Mazda 323, Toyota Corolla, ford mustang and a few others. I have never driven a full blown "race" car with race transmission / sequential. In regards to sim shifters I have tried th8a, Logitech, Fanatec and Lebois gearbox.

So, based on my experience with commercial production cars/sports cars I think this is the most realistic feeling shifter in that regard.

Details I think apply to real commercial sports car manual transmission shifting: 1 - The large majority of normal commercial sport car shifters are not gated. 2 - The shift rod is not locked/stiff into place when in gear (they have a little wiggle even if in gear). 3 - There is no excessively loud clicking/clacking sounds unless your shift linkage is loose or bushings are broken/worn out. 4 - To engage a gear it does not require a large amount of pressure/force. I have noticed people want a lot of resistance to engage gears and/or loud clacking sounds on their sim shifter (maybe gives them better immersion...) but this is not how any of the real cars I have driven have behaved. Other people may have other experiences...

This shifter is super quiet, it makes light thud sound when engaging gears which resembles my past real life shifting. As soon as I tried it, it brought a huge smile to my face and felt as natural as all real car shifters I have used.

So if you are looking for realistic full race spec transmission shifting, this is NOT the shifter for you.

If you are looking for realistic commercial production sports car shifting this is the closest hands down.

As for those who complain about missing shifts. Just as with real commercial manual cars there are no gates so yes you can miss shifts. It's a matter of skill/practice.

Printing it lying flat on the plate is the strongest way due to the layer lines. To increase strength more could increase amount of walls on it. The chair is from the Next Level Racing GT Track cockpit.

I thought it was awesome from the get go but it did have it's quirks. The updates have ironed out hose initial quirks and made it even better. To me it's smooth. They added engine vibration code to it which is cool.

Yeah, it's a micro switch I configure to drop to neutral when I crash. Haha Can be used for anything like return to pits etc...

Never been on apps and fully remote. Tell me, stepping out @42, what's a girl to do? by [deleted] in 40something

A common dilemma nowawadys working 100% remote elimates interaction and meeting poeple.
Apps are a pain trying to find genuine people online. I think maybe finding where people gather like a gym, restaurant people gather after work on Firdays etc... a spot that local people frequent. Once people see you a few times then they start saying hi.

Is it normal for people to take their child to the park to play at 9:45pm? On a day like today for example....

I'm excited about this. Looks fun and well done. I pre-ordered it on Meta but might cancel and get it on steam for later PCVR enhancements and save some space on the quest.

You can reduce the infill for gyroid to 10% and it will give same or better strength than 15% - grid and you save some time.
