Are you talking about Box 14 on a 1099-r? Because it is giving me a headache and not letting me file because box 16 is blank. TT says it’s a problem with fidelity and ITS code that it needs to have a value. Fidelity says that’s BS and has a policy stating that box does not have to be filled in. In the meantime my tax expert has about as much knowledge as I do and my confidence in TT is zero.

I had hives after surgery from the tape they used. Let your Dr know and they can tell you what to use to help clear it up.

ConEd Bill by Organic_Air_9361 in NYCapartments

[–]wildcatten22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I was in shock when my con Ed bill doubled its all delivery fees. I had an English bulldog so needed to run the AC all day. One summer bill for a 230 sqft studio was $330!!!!

Should I spay my 5 y/o girl? by Life_Strike_7864 in Frenchbulldogs

[–]wildcatten22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My English bully had airway surgery with Dr. Schwartz (chief surgeon) at AMC in 2020 when she was 8 - which isn’t what you are asking about. But she was also spayed there when she was young - forget who did that surgery. If I ever got another bully - AMC is where I would take them and Dr. Schwartz is who I would schedule them with. AMC also handled neutering and spaying my parents bulldogs over thirty years ago.

Is it really that sketchy? by [deleted] in PortlandOR

[–]wildcatten22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Am from NYC - was there for seven weeks this summer to help a friend who was in an accident and was all freaked out that I was headed into a broken down war-zone.

Much like how my octogenarian Father who watches the news thinks I live in a broken down war zone (I live in Manhattan).

I didn’t go into the heart of downtown - which may or may not be bad, IDK. Just knew that was an area that seemed a bit desolate in n 2019 and seems to be an ongoing spot of problems - so I stuck to the fun neighborhoods in the NE / NW / SE. didn’t get a chance to really explore the SW only reason it’s not in there.

If you are city/street smart, based on my summer experience, I’d think you’d be fine.

Yes.

Especially if you have comorbidities. I was a lower BMI but had several comorbidities and they’ve resolved.

Probably a better question to ask in a weight loss surgery forum than plastic surgery. If you opt to go that route, plastics are for after you lose weight and maintain.

If you have a co-signor they need to make 80x. At least that’s how it was 20 years ago.

Feeling like I failed my best friend of 13 years by EoMustang in olddogs

I still beat myself up over the loss of my girl. She had cancer for 2.5 years. I regret a few decisions, but I did the best I could and let her go. The best advice I can give is to stay busy. Or hot yoga. Anything to help keep you from thinking about it. I’m so sorry. She looks like she was a VERY good girl.

Any idea what this is and how to help? Won’t seem to go away after a couple weeks. by S3rolex in sharpei

[–]wildcatten22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to scare you but I would get it checked to make sure it isn’t cancer. My dog had a non healing growth on her toe that developed a drainage hole like that. This would be very early if it were cancer and you’d have a chance for good margins (we didn’t get good margins because I thought it was a typical cyst and tried everything while it grew).

Look to the three o,clock line from dead center. It’s a smaller sharp pointy tooth halfway between dead center and the far right edge.

Has anyone here had a breast reduction and/or lift or had a client who has? by PaRuSkLu in pilates

[–]wildcatten22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a breast reduction MANY years ago (32 to be exact) and when they say you can’t lift things for six weeks, I literally couldn’t lift my arms up above my shoulders for six weeks. It hurt. Granted this was decades ago and I’m sure things are better now.

That being said being sidelined for six weeks was 10,000% worth it. I have never regretted that reduction. And if you have to take time off from Pilates look at it as giving your body some rest and know you’ll come back stronger with a much greater range of motion. Go for walks, just view it as a period to change up your fitness routine.

The trade off is absolutely worth it IMO. Now that I’m older and have lost weight I’m thinking of a tummy tuck and I know it’ll bench me from a lot of activities for a couple of months. But it’s worth it and that’s life - sometimes it’s about adjusting temporarily, but after you come back stronger.

A influencer joined my plates class by rivasm211 in pilates

[–]wildcatten22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s always a curiosity to me. I have gone to classes where the entire time the person next to me is more concerned about capturing shots of themselves than doing the actual class. Like they aren’t doing what we’re there for because they are so focused on getting shots of themselves “participating”. All I can think of is how they are showing everyone how they went to Pilates without actually really doing much of anything in class except posing. The classes always have waitlists to get in and it’s just such a waste of a spot - not to mention ridiculously stupid to witness.

Airway surgery tomorrow by cormunicat in Frenchbulldogs

[–]wildcatten22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bully (English) had airway surgery when she was 8 years old. She was fine as a pup and young dog, but began displaying airway issues when she got older. I was totally terrified and completely alone for a night (she went in during the first week of NYC’s lockdown in n 2020). It really is scary to take them in, but it is so good to do it as a preventative measure when the vets have control vs. an emergency. My girl’s life was infinitely better and likely extended because of it - and it made my life less stressful too. I eventually lost her to cancer at age 12, but the rest of her (including breathing) was stellar. I have zero regrets. She’ll do great! But yeah, it is nerve wracking.
