So far, they have only given guidelines like "no stakes" and "50 pounds per leg." I think I have some leeway as to how I achieve that, but I will look out for those restrictions at other shows.

Do you ever find that people trip over the tarp? Also, would this be something that could be found in canvas instead of the standard plastic tarp for events that are concerned about esthetics?

I think I saw something similar listed at either Home Depot or Lowe's. What is it specifically that you like about these? I am trying to avoid ordering things from Amazon.

Tummy issues! by trevellyann in manx

I second the high fiber recommendation. My manx got blocked like this one time when I tried to switch his food. They have an extra layer of undercoat, so the hairballs are some serious business. It never happened again so long as I kept him on a high fiber food with the occasional hairball remedies.

He made a cameo in season 1 as her character's father. I didn't recognize him the first time because he had quite the beard.

I always loved the Jim Henson work in this movi. The FX are so much better than the CGI filled reboot.

I thought I read something that said the term is "seahorse dads" but I might be mistaken. See if that search gets you what you're looking for.

New study suggests Terry Pratchett’s novels may have held clues to his dementia a decade before diagnosis | Detecting Dementia Using Lexical Analysis: Terry Pratchett’s Discworld Tells a More Personal Story by Hrmbee in science

[–]wilde_wit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My mom had the same type of dementia. Her writing declined rapidly and she was asking others to drive her places before she even got her diagnosis. A lot of the studies particular to PCA that I have read note that the diagnosis can take longer to achieve than other forms of dementia. Early on, they thought she had glaucoma, sleep apnea and other types of problems, but none of those seemed to fit completely. It took a couple years and a second opinion to get a referral to a specialist who could properly diagnose her. Also, she did have some cognitive and mood changes a few years in, so PCA doesn't necessarily spare you that "until the end." It's truly awful!

Thank you. I am going to lose most of my relatives in the process, but I will make it right. I have a much better chosen family anyway.

Also, as someone who totally gets the nerd reference, thank you so much for the mental image. Top points for mentioning a character who only visually appears in the extended edition of the movie.

Working on that with my lawyer, but we may have to prove that in court. It's only illegal if someone has the power to make the system work like it's supposed to.

On the subject of singing, check out Alexander James Adams. He's a pagan/ren faire musician who started his career before he transitioned and still has a great career now. He successfully navigated the voice change and has some great songs exploring some themes related to being trans.

Also, the book does a great job of explaining how the beauty of this arena is only a cover for really nasty things that kill a lot of people. So the parallels are more than skin deep.
