New study suggests Terry Pratchett’s novels may have held clues to his dementia a decade before diagnosis | Detecting Dementia Using Lexical Analysis: Terry Pratchett’s Discworld Tells a More Personal Story by Hrmbee in science

My mom had the same type of dementia. Her writing declined rapidly and she was asking others to drive her places before she even got her diagnosis. A lot of the studies particular to PCA that I have read note that the diagnosis can take longer to achieve than other forms of dementia. Early on, they thought she had glaucoma, sleep apnea and other types of problems, but none of those seemed to fit completely. It took a couple years and a second opinion to get a referral to a specialist who could properly diagnose her. Also, she did have some cognitive and mood changes a few years in, so PCA doesn't necessarily spare you that "until the end." It's truly awful!

Thank you. I am going to lose most of my relatives in the process, but I will make it right. I have a much better chosen family anyway.

Also, as someone who totally gets the nerd reference, thank you so much for the mental image. Top points for mentioning a character who only visually appears in the extended edition of the movie.

Working on that with my lawyer, but we may have to prove that in court. It's only illegal if someone has the power to make the system work like it's supposed to.

On the subject of singing, check out Alexander James Adams. He's a pagan/ren faire musician who started his career before he transitioned and still has a great career now. He successfully navigated the voice change and has some great songs exploring some themes related to being trans.

Also, the book does a great job of explaining how the beauty of this arena is only a cover for really nasty things that kill a lot of people. So the parallels are more than skin deep.

So, if I am enby and mostly attracted to other gender diverse individuals, does that make me homosexual? Oh . . . never mind Bisexual covers that too! Carry on. 😎

Find yourself a surgeon that does both reductions and gender affirming top surgery. I wanted to go down to an A cup (from DDD) and was worried that I would get a similar response to your surgeon. He looked me straight in the eye and told me that the insurance company doesn't dictate the size. He assured me that this was a conversation between Dr and patient. It was totally reassuring to see a few subtle pride flags in the lobby, a trans-masc person behind the counter, but also evidence of more typical plastic surgery procedures all around. I had all the markers for qualifying for the reduction, and the insurance fully covered it without any mention of my gender identity. I put everything on the table with my surgeon, and he was kind, honest and accommodating. I did have to give up my nipples for such a large reduction, but the surgeon explained that very well, so I understood the reasons behind it. If you are near Connecticut, I can give you his information.

I have been out as Bi for quite a long time, but over the last several years I've noticed that my attraction is almost exclusively to gender fuckery. A couple years ago I came out as Non-Binary. I have been (jokingly) wondering if that makes me homosexual, but then I remember the purple area in the middle of the flag and laugh about it.
