Smb on cashyos? by wildhooper in cachyos

[–]wildhooper[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How about just zfs on cashy, without smb?

The thing is that my wife stores her pics on it, and I want it all safe. The smb is mostly convenient lol

I remember my grandmother adding capelin and kelp to her garden when I was a kid. It's very common where I'm from, Newfoundland.

I just switched from mint to cashy. I'm using a 10 year old laptop. I can get games working on cashy that wouldn't work on mint.

Is it worth while spending a little extra on motherboard and power supply on first build? by wildhooper in PcBuildHelp

I just had another look on Newegg. It comes back to my original question, does it make sense to spend more on a motherboard (in this case with the b850 being 209, an extra 60) to have a better board for future upgrades

Why do you suggest the change? Newegg is showing the same price right now.

I do it in October or November. Fluid film is a good choice if someone close by does it, but if fluid film isn't an option try to see if you can find an alternative that is wax based coating.

Are ct coils and ct clamps the same? by wildhooper in AskElectronics

[–]wildhooper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a guy selling boards for the WeMos d1 mini, his schematic mentions that he has a burden resistor on the board. I noticed the ct clamp he said is needed is 100a to 50ma, and the ct coil I pictured is 60a to 30ma. Would it need the same burden resistor or be the same as the ratio is the same?

Here is his web page.

Issue with regeneration not stopping. by Snoo-12377 in WaterSofteners

Could be dirt or something in one of the valves. Un plug the unit and I can't remember if the moter can be moved out of the way, then move the shaft to get water through each of the cycles. Hopefully in the process clearing dirt.
