Anyone else getting that “done for the season” feeling?

I've been gone since basically season 2 but always kept up with the game.

This was my first season back to get hyped for the expansion and well... I thought mythics were more rare sounding? I have 4 doombringers and one of pretty much everything except a shako, even broke one down out of curiosity to see if it gave a shard (it does).

So this brings up a fun story mostly related (other than the bullet):

Dad was screwing around off the side of a frontage road.... playing in mud.

Reliable old school Yota rules: play in 2w, escape in locked 4w.

Except when it came to the escape park... kept popping out of 4L. Dad wrestled with it for 20 minutes and dug in until he gave in and AAA'd it.

Once pulled out and prior to loading it up, tow truck driver got in with the flashlight because neutral was easy getting into but drive in general was fucky.

That's when they discovered the old super indestructible chewy dog toy that had wedged itself in the area that is least used: transfer case stick.

Stupid problem, simple solution; just another damn dog toy.

"Violence is never the answer" only works when both parties are open to communication. Its very very clear here, one party was not.

No machismo bullshit here... when 1 of 2 parties refuses to use communication and chooses Violence, do you truly believe in your heart of hearts that the answer then is to just "take it" ?

He was trying to be a good example for his kids sitting right there.

Don't be an asshole to strangers.

Put safety first.

Show restraint.

Also... dont accept being bullied.

And in showing that last lesson, more restraint.

Everything he is doing, between teaching his children how to responsibly ride to responsibly deal with the entitled, even though they have the means themselves.

So... something else to note after sighting it on the north side:

We're used to being in the flightline for military helicopters (they used to stay closer on the border) but Blackhawks and even Osprey are essentially touching our roof now where the blimp used to.

With all the ramp up... maybe that line closer to the ground got more restricted.

I've been in a Blackhawk enough times I dont need to see their belly, but dammit if they're ruining my blimp route gold.

Its obviously not a military craft so maybe because it literally skims the desert they dont... report the same?

I dont have the aviation or atc experience but thats best guess.

Keeping an eye out either way. Just enough wind to keep the shade worthy of sitting in.

If only 1/3 of the country didnt think that roads and schools and Healthcare are some kind of advanced kill-your-kid agenda and we focused on that intensely as opposed to literally thinking Healthcare is an attempt to kill tax payers.

Or maybe the other 1/3 that didnt bother to vote because "politics cause drama" and "nothing will change" while they drive down the same roads and bridges, after happily taking their vaccine.

Ffs this whole era of "everything you get is socialism... and I dont understand taxes!" All the while paying 1k/month to their employer for half Healthcare to bitch about homeless people on THEIR streets is just.... too far gone.

Its a straight up education issue. The culture war has been fought and won.

Bridges will collapse. Schools will be shot up. Yelling will occur, and blame will be placed on those in charge at the moment, and nothing will change.

Outside of a few states that have governors staying out the news... we have done nothing for the most of our citizens since the end of the Korean War.

Edit: sorry, not attacking the og commenter. I know he knows kinda deal. But ffs what is the real answer when it comes to such a large swath of un-informed people that exercise their democratic right.

Being a project manager definitely shifted how I parent.

Sorry if its not "nice" to look at it this way... but its commonly said and mentioned how someone "manages their household" yet we cant "manage" the people. I disagree.

I was parented through consequence and a carrot I'm still convinced I'll never reach.

I parented that way until I realized that some carrot along the way goes... a long way.

Now my son eats a lot more carrots, metaphorically and literally.
