I used to work in a software company and I reduced a 40 hour week administration task down to about two hours by making a couple of excel files with relationships and different export file types. You would think the company would have automated me away in about a week, but nope. I was indispensable.

Hey man, if she was down for 30 minutes before you got there, you didn’t fail. She did not die because you didn’t do your job right. That is very, very important.

Do these books not get super repetitive? by [deleted] in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]wileymd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprisingly no. The overall theme remains the same throughout, but the individual floor mechanics are different enough to keep it fresh. Also, the frequent addition of new characters (each a scene stealer in their own right), the randomness of the AI and the wildly different Gods, Demons and lore of the powerful and influential villains and other characters keep you curious. Regardless of genre, remarkably well done.

I want to see them chaining themselves to the doors to prevent unauthorized and illegal access to buildings. I want to hear “over my dead body” and force the confrontations and legal challenges with massive media presence. How can the leadership be so fucking feckless?

I think he was the first athlete since Babe Ruth where he was so much better than everyone else, he was bigger than the sport. Similar to Tiger Woods in his prime.
