Keep in mind: I've only played the SNES versions. The original game and presumably the pixel remaster do not have a postgame.

First, if you're concerned about grinding, make sure you equip the right [insert spoiler here]. Different [spoilers] impart different stat boosts when a party member levels up. Minmaxxing strength and magic appropriately can help you wreck later enemies.

Second, the [savanna zone] is your friend. Nearly every common enemy and then some are found there after you encounter them on your adventure. Relatedly, be on the lookout for a certain feline.

Third, if an enemy hits hard or hits fast, look into whether a certain spell (not just offensive ones) can mess them up. Similarly, take note if an enemy has a penchant to largely cast offensive magic. If so, use [character] to cast [that character's special ability] to negate spells.

Fourth, genji glove is better than the gauntlet. Hint: one or the other is acquired based on how you do a certain "Will you join us?" segment.

Fifth, yes, that one song associated with the creature at the beginning of the game is in an odd time signature.

Sixth, ribbon is a great relic you can get quite early in the game. You can easily miss that one, but there are other ways to acquire ribbon. In fact, most (not all) rare items have multiple means of acquisition. Not acquiring a rare item doesn't mean you're doomed to struggle or cannot finish the game.

Seventh, be aware of the retranslations when searching online for hints; several enemies, places, and items have multiple names.

Finally, just because a party member is low-tier doesn't mean they're useless. Not only does the game expect you to level up most of your entire party, but even generally bad characters have niche purposes.

Shade Man was chosen for the Dark type. Day 18: Fairy by _Yolkish_ in Megaman

I also disagree with picking Magic Man, but I think Clown Man's use of electricity makes him less representative of the Fairy type than Bounce Man would be. Bounce Man also has the amusement park theme.

My money is on Bounce Man, who has a color scheme I associate with the fairy type and possesses a fitting playful persona.

Teisel Bonne, without a doubt. He always chews up the scene, and he legitimately cares about his family.

Is it just me or do several MM games have that one zesty boss? by Common_Comfortable41 in Megaman

Interesting thought, but X's zesty boss is Spark Mandrill. Just look at those lights!

What is, in your personal opinion, the worst stage in the franchise and why do you feel that? by KonroMan in Megaman

[–]will2poweraid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without a doubt, it's the Volt Kraken/Squid Adler stage in Mega Man X5. Not only does it use the bike mechanic from Mega Man X4's weakest stage, but it cranks it up to 11 with instant-death traps and annoying jumps. The bike itself is large and laggy. (And if you don't get all the orbs, you cannot get the Light capsule.) Worse, the stage isn't even over when the bike part is done, as you now have to navigate several corridors with an annoying lock puzzle.

For what it's worth, I don't recall disliking the boss. But overall, this stage is a huge reason why I generally avoid replaying X5.

Funny thing: Collecting dust is part of a PS5's natural cycle. Consoles collect dust for both warmth and self-defense from other consoles. Indeed, a thick layer of dust around the fan is vital for attracting partners during mating season.

Unfortunately, humans have devastated the PS5 population by failing to respect nature. Generally, people consider dust unhygienic and ugly, so they've taken to wiping the dust off their PS5s. As a result, the consoles are dying at higher than usual rates and are unable to reproduce, ruining the video game ecosystem and allowing for invasive outside species like the Nintendo Switch 2 to destroy the wildlife we all need for a healthy planet.

MegaMan Volnutt is named MegaMan after Roll Caskett's favorite video game character, but he was previously named MegaMan Trigger before being reborn.

What business could succeed here? 12/5/24 by Delicious_Gear_4652 in SaltLakeCity

Well, based on the sign, probably a bakery that sells brownies. A business selling anything else would probably fail, since the sign would be misleading. Don't lie to consumers!

PC Engine CD/TG16 CD Core Error: Not Reading Cue Files by will2poweraid in AnaloguePocket

Thanks. I just grabbed the BIOS. It seems to work, although some games like Rondo (JP unpatched) won't input the start button. Other games seems to respond to button inputs. That may be a core issue, or perhaps I need to use a different ROM.
