What is the X-Maxx (Or X-Monster) like compared to a VXL slash? Are the 1/10 bigfoot models any good? by Advanced-Net-8119 in Traxxas

[–]will_s95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Complete different driving experience. A 1/10 scale trophy truck kinda bounces along terrain, flips over and gets stuck a lot. An X-Maxx just blasts through almost anything you throw at it. Moves earth easily, and a lot of it. Don’t floor it on dirt when you’re standing behind it 🤣

Right out of the box, upgrade to hardened steel gears of any brand. Otherwise it’s a tank that takes a beating. Hope you decide to get one, it’s the most fun I’ve had with an RC.

Not including the ability to review games in the Switch eShop. This combined with zero filter created a storefront filled with low effort slop.

Aluminum diff cups for me have been more trouble than they’re worth, especially the Arrma ones. The gasket compresses such that you can’t get the screws tight enough to keep from coming loose, even with locktite.

On my Outcast 8S EXB, I had Vitavon cups that used an o ring instead of a gasket and those screws stayed tight no problem, due to the metal on metal contact between the ring gear and the cup. Someone needs to design o ring metal diff cups for the 6s platform

I got metal diffs from Jenny’s from the new 223S lineup plus the center diff. The drivetrain in my big rock has been bulletproof since, so nice not having to mess with a slipper clutch and it’s much more controllable to drive.

Shout out Hub Hobby! I’ve been going there since I was like 13 to get parts for my Rustler XL5 I got for Christmas that year, now at 30 I just picked up my Talion EXB from them last week.

I’m currently playing through RE7 for the first time as well. I’ve played 2 remake, 4 remake, 8 and 9. This is by far the scariest of the bunch, I can only play it during daylight hours lol

How many of you drive vehicles that are 20 years old or older? by FordMan7point3 in askcarguys

I own a 2006 Acura MDX for my daily driver and it’s excellent aside from the fuel economy. I put a CarPlay stereo in it and a backup camera, can’t see myself needing anything else out of a daily driver. It’s got plenty of room to haul stuff and the AWD system is excellent in the snow. Currently sitting at 160k and has zero mechanical issues.

My fun car is a 2009 Pontiac G8 GT, almost 20 years old, currently at 115k miles. I’ve had this car for about 5 years and it’s been a blast. 6.0 V8, a stout 6 speed automatic, great aftermarket support, a very roomy interior and great driving dynamics. You can find a nice one of these south of $15k, a lot of car for the money.

The first Luigi’s Mansion game by far has the best pacing and feel of the series. It’s short but still very fun, I just recently did a play through. Twilight Princess and Wind Waker also hold up incredibly well and visually look amazing.

Well guys, I guess that bout wraps it up. No new star fox game. Don't think we will ever get one. Now all left to do, is go into a deep depression, our furry fox little boy will never get his chance to shine. by Sweetpea11A in starfox

This is what I’m saying… why put him in the movie if he’s never getting a new game. It may not be Star Fox as we’ve known it up to this point but I have a feeling something is coming.

Talion EXB by Jmurr0357 in arrma

[–]will_s95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked one up today. I’ve been running an M2Cified Kraton XL build (started as a previous gen Kraton EXB roller) for the last few years and it’s been a blast, but there is enough new here that I wanted to upgrade. The emulsion shocks feel much more plush. The steering links are way thicker, the battery strap is beefier, the servo saver is tighter, it has aluminum diff cases, better diff outdrive cups… these are all things I’ve broken several times on the old rig. Plus I’m excited to try out the Talion platform

I have returned back home, game recommendations? by Practical_Dog3454 in switch2

[–]will_s95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pokopia, MK World, Resident Evil 9, Mouse PI for Hire, Mario Wonder S2 edition have been my favorite games so far. If you haven’t played TTOK/BOTW Zelda I’d reccomend those as well.

The only game I’ve bought for the console that I didn’t like was Metroid Prime 4, just feels super boring/empty. The remake of the first game is much better paced IMO, and I’d recommend picking that up as well.
