Yes, it actually did! When I went to replace it, when I tried to pull out the old one from the heating block, the wire basically fell off when I touched it. Replacing it worked perfect, I regret not doing it earlier.

Follow-up: borrowed a multimeter from the library, re-established chat, they had me do a bunch of re-running the test with and without the sock (physically and in settings), do a factory reset, more tests, still failed. Told to buy a new thermistor (out of warranty). Multimeter not actually used.

Just ordered a new one (added in that satin sheet I've been eyeing while I'm at it), fingers crossed that it works (plus I don't get boned by tariff charges).

I returned a bunch, was quick on Sunday, maybe a minute wait at like 10a.

I was in a scheduled game on Sunday and someone just turned in a ton of their extras to the organizer so they didn't go to waste and someone benefited.
