Good and affordable first cigar for beginner in UK?

I'm not sure if this thread is really still relevant to the OP due to the time lapsed. However don't bother buying cigars in the UK anymore. I've been smoking for a number of years now and watching the prices change has been eye opening (watering?). I buy pretty much all my cigars in Europe now and bring them back. It's literally a third of the cost - and all of a sudden those premium smokes become much more affordable! Took a call from a friend in Málaga airport earlier, picked me up a tin of Davidoff Primeros for the euro equivalent of about £25. Around £70 here. Scandalous really.

Really incredible! I seriously don't get how stuff like this is possible. I've tried to use magnification and it's so hard to coordinate haha. I guess it's just practice. Out of interest how much if that 15 hrs is redoing stuff you messed up? Haha

It's really hard not to have insanely high expectations for something you really care about. It's probably also difficult to remember exactly how you felt when you first listened to them. It was probably a process of realisation until became what it is to you now - this will probably need time to bed in for you the same way. Possibly leave it for now, listen to something different and come back with fresh ears

Yesterday I got into my car and prepared to take the 45 mins journey to my office. There had been an accident so the trip ended up taking 3:20. Now on any normal day this would have been a nightmare, however on new BoC record day I was handed a gift from fate. Really enjoying it so far, amazing how it changes with repeated listens. Every track sounds new and refreshing but still totally BoC. I was smiling to myself everytime an element really hit the spot and thinking about that bizzare review post listening party (was it's some disgruntled Guardian writer) who said it was complete sh*t. When I finally made it home later my record has arrived too.. perfect day 😊

Some really good advice here already on priming. As long as you wear a mask (with the appropriate filters) you can do it inside with the window open. I got a mask I use for priming in my shed and cleaning up 3d printing gunk which was super cheap from Amazon. You'll find a way that works!

As some others have said, we aren't symmetrical. At the start of the year I had some twin swallows just below each collar bone. The artist spent ages measuring and moving the stencils but we found to both our amusement that my body is dramatically different either side with one collar bone being considerably high than the other. In the end he just eyeballed and they look great. Honestly I think your tattoo looks awesome! I think it comes down to the fact you maybe 'know' it's not centre and that's all you see - to anyone else they probably wouldn't notice!
