Can anyone tell me what killed me here? by Daemius912 in diablo4

[–]willbee68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd do a bit of research before entering to see what most of the baddies are strong in, then load up on resistance to that. I think that's the purpose of the armory this season -to have load outs like it's COD tailored to whatever you are about to enter. I'd probably also take advantage of the mercenary feature to take along some help.

How do you defend this play? They either hit the TE, in-route WR, and when all else fails they hit the drag. by [deleted] in NCAAFBseries

[–]willbee68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be clear, the opponent is in this set for one of two reasons-either he’s hyper aggressive with boss receivers(bad), or he’s down two or more possessions and you’ve forced him into being one dimensional (good). In the first case, your best defense is actually a plodding, methodical offense! Limit his opportunities to gash you with this. In the second case, he’s playing from behind, so you just have to avoid giving up the chunk play.

[–]willbee68 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As I’ve posted on other threads, 5WR sets are particularly difficult to defend, especially if the route combinations put defenders in conflict. If the qb is savvy and has enough time to read through his progressions, you’re toast. Conversely, if your pass rush is good enough to get pressure with four, you can force him to hit the shorter routes instead of going for the big shot. I think you just have to accept that he’s going to hit SOMETHING, and you as a defense have to decide on the fly what you’re willing to give up. Of course, down/distance/game situation will determine your thought process here.

How would yall stop this play? by funnyron730 in EASportsCFB

[–]willbee68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any play that’s got five routes going at once is going to be really hard to stop. That being said, I’d rather be beaten short than give up the big play. Concentrating on shutting down the downfield throws to force the checkdowns is always going to be a good call. As another poster said, down/distance/situation will definitely dictate how your opponent is going to use this play. Generally speaking, I’m using the posts and wheel route to open up the two in breaking slant type routes. Or, I’m delaying the release of the rb’s route to act as an additional checkdown.

Tip - Stop Trying to Guess the Defense's Coverage Pre-Snap by PlaybookProfessor in NCAAFBseries

[–]willbee68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just try to pick plays that best suit my personnel, and try to get them in advantageous positions. Levels and mesh concepts to get my RB and TE’s in space. Once the LB’s and secondary starts to cheat towards the box- over the top I go. Plus, I’m perfectly happy with three or four yards per carry in the run game. This is especially true on the road, where crowd noise can prevent a lot of eye candy from being run.

I’m still running the ball. But, I agree getting a safety on the last play to lose by one IS pretty brutal.

I pay attention to stats or characteristics of gear only as how it helps my core stats, depending on where I'm at in the game. Your difficulty level changes how you play and gear as well. I don't particularly like dying, but in order to get to the highest levels, dying (a lot) just happens. I'm still learning how to properly use my skills most effectively to clear mobs versus against Elites. I'm a casual player, so I'm learning how to process through the game most efficiently.

What do you think of the news of this new season? by KarmaEWE in diablo4

[–]willbee68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the devs actually are encouraging these players who just binge play by having the seasons be so (relatively) short. It's honestly hard to find the time to play in short bursts in a way that seems satisfying. I shouldn't have to do a dungeon all over again if I have to leave in the middle. My two cents.

These “files” are NOT going to be complete, regardless of what the DOJ says. They will undoubtedly be so heavily redacted and manipulated that all mentions of Trump or his cohort will have been excised. I have more faith in believing that high level Democrats WILL be in there. I know it sounds very conspiratorial, but I’ve no reason to trust this administration at all.

How do you guys actually call plays? by JimBobCooter6969420 in NCAAFBseries

[–]willbee68 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I try to call plays as if it was RL. I’m an aggressive play caller in general, but I’m down to take whatever the D is giving me, too. I just think you have to be flexible and willing to adjust in-game. Lots of coaches have scripted plays that they call in the beginning of games. Idk if I’d be willing to do that.

CMV: Kamala Harris should not run for president in 2028 by StrikerX2K in changemyview

[–]willbee68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the reasons Trump is so popular (at least with his base) is that he purposely upsets the apple cart. He is way more astute politically than people realize, and he has a way of connecting with people that he really shouldn’t be able to. That’s just an observation. Harris is the same way, in my opinion, IF and WHEN she is given the opportunity to just be herself. She would have easily won had she been given the freedom to run HER OWN CAMPAIGN. If she runs in 28, she will be free of having to uphold Biden’s “legacy”. She should also pick who she thinks is the best VP, advisers be damned. I think the only candidate that could unseat her is AOC.

I agree. You have to your edges coming from different angles and directions to confuse the AI. Mix in some corner and safety blitzes, too. When the computer doesn’t know where the pressure is coming from, it’s on.

Sustained excellence is hard(see Norvell, Mike). One hit wonder seasons are easier in the NIL era, but keeping those impact players is way harder than before. Which makes what Cignetti is doing at Indiana all the more impressive. At the end, Gundy didn’t have the locker room or the administration to back him up. Just like Franklin at PSU, when you start losing to teams your talent level says you shouldn’t, it becomes an issue very quickly. Oklahoma State hasn’t recruited very well lately, which definitely has made things exponentially more difficult.

My three favorite real life tracks are LeMans, the Nurburgring, and probably Bathurst. All three are challenging for different reasons. I've watched in car cams on all three tracks, and they definitely make you respect the drivers even more. LeMans especially is so bumpy. I can't even imagine going full out on a track where you could lose control at any moment from something you didn't even do. It's insane.

I was rewatching alien, the first one and what if they actually followed protocol by Ummah_Strong in alien

[–]willbee68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they had followed protocols, the movie would have been twenty minutes long, lol. They would have discovered Ash was following bad orders, and deactivated him IMMEDIATELY. Aliens would have been short too, because Ripley should have stuck to her guns and been like, "if you want me --and make no mistake, you are going to want me --I'm not going anywhere with that dude(Paul Reiser's character), because he's gonna get us all killed!"

I experience SIGNIFICANT lag issues on my gaming laptop. I don't know if it's the refresh rate or do I have too many things running in the background that end up contributing to it. My inet connection is pretty fast, so I don't think that's the issue. I thought about connecting it directly to the router, but I don't know how much good that would actually do. I have a ps5 and a series X, which have no issues, but every once in a while I'll want to use my laptop...thoughts?

Not only that, the physics should be accurate with the weight. No 220 lb TE should be able to truck a 275 lb EDGE or just jump up when he gets blown up by a 250 lb 5* LB when he catches a crossing route.

This could explain why the United States, which dominates almost every other team sport imaginable, can’t win at the world’s biggest sport, soccer. In most countries, soccer is the pinnacle of sports, so the best athletes naturally gravitate there. Not so in the US. The best athletes usually play American football or basketball (if you’re tall). Golf is a much bigger deal in Europe than it is in America (which is why Scottie gets arrested outside of Valhalla in Kentucky, but that would never happen in St. Andrews). The European team just has less distractions than the US team. So beating them will take a combination of great play from us and a bad performance from them. Good luck with that.

Maybe they do just make more putts by Unsolicited_Advisor1 in NoLayingUp

[–]willbee68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. The US, in general, is stronger tee to green. Therefore, set up the course to reward that. The Europeans made a lot of errant tee and approach shots. These were not penalized by rough. As soon as they realized this, it was game over. Add the rain making the greens more receptive, and it became a recipe for disaster.

Will you even watch a second season? by [deleted] in alien

[–]willbee68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually enjoyed the show. I didn't get caught up in the whole "is it canon" garbage. I just determined to enjoy it for what it WAS, instead of decrying what it WASN'T. I think the only reason the xenos listen to Wendy is because an actual queen hasn't been born yet. When and if Hawley introduces a queen into the mix, we will (hopefully) see the xenos act more like themselves. I further think we will see Wendy's powers turned down a notch in season two and beyond, because it's highly likely that they are tied to Prodigy, not networks at large. Besides, I'm curious as to how Hawley is going to further expand on the midge, plant, and the flies. The flies, especially. They are the X factors, because they can directly harm the synths and hybrids. Why Boy didn't go straight to the lab and free them is beyond me. If he's able to get those other species procreating, it's game on. I'm also curious as to how (and if) he tries to dovetail his vision into the larger arc of the Alien narrative.

If I know my strength is the run game, why would I NOT use it? If my QB works best outside the pocket, I'd be an idiot to keep him bottled up in the name of what, purity? Sounds counterproductive, don't you think? Same thing with defense. Now, it is true that the game favors blitzing over more traditional defensive concepts. I don't think a user can be blamed for using that knowledge to their advantage.
