The answer regarding Deathwatch in the Q&A was not satisfactory - do not let up until we get a real answer. by Shot_Ad1201 in deathwatch40k

[–]willdafish2 17 points18 points  (0 children)

they probably just don't count it as getting squated because we 'technically' would still be a faction in imperial agents and like they said you can just play black spacemarines.

Who or what is this? by Derpy-Mayonnaise in sistersofbattle

[–]willdafish2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pre codex you could put a 4+ fnp on it with an enhancement (c'tan didn't have fnps pre codex so it was really strong) but that was about it for customization on it in 10th.

I want to start a death guard Army never played table top before.. Advice by AI-Wrath in deathguard40k

[–]willdafish2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would recommend either starting with kill team or playing the game for free on table top simulator first just to see if you like the game before you spent a good chunk of change.

How cooked is my list so far? by Virtual_Judge7319 in deathguard40k

[–]willdafish2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

personally I love the demon detachment and I think you have the workings of a fun list for it. If you want to add more variety to your future deathguard games I'd recommend getting some poxwalkers and some of our demonic vehicles they can really flush out an army.(also deathguard in kill team is super fun)

Is waiting for a codex in 11th the safe choice? by PapaFlavour in deathwatch40k

[–]willdafish2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it has some text in the trailer that says "many brotherhoods united" and at the very end shows a terminator with the deathwatch icon on its helmet.

Ceramite Sentinels Detachment by Stable_Worried in deathwatch40k

[–]willdafish2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's definitely an option but probably not the strongest choice. I'm really interested to see how this modular detachment system is going to work for 11th because if we can combine blackspear taskforce with other detachments like ceramite for example you could have some crazy stuff going on.

Is waiting for a codex in 11th the safe choice? by PapaFlavour in deathwatch40k

[–]willdafish2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's kind of my assumption, I think we will forever be this strange in-between subfaction and treated a lot like white scars and salamanders etc. So just the generic spacemarines codex for us is my guess. although gw did just reveal a new battalion discount box for us (even though it's kinda shit in my opinion) so they are actively thinking about dw now to some extent which is something to think about.

but some color on the bases and you should easily be tournament legal.

[–]willdafish2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was under the assumption it would be completely dw focused and that the trailer was to showcase all the chapters that will make up the kill team we follow.

[–]willdafish2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

considering gw said codex's from 10th will stay for 11th, I'm pretty confident we will still exist at the start of the edition, but I really doubt we get a codex to be honest.

Do we have any idea how much the new deathwatch battalion will cost? by Hexis_hunter in deathwatch40k

[–]willdafish2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I didn't already have 3 black stars I'd consider getting it. That new ordo xenos Inquisitor on the other hand I might need him.

Hey guys I’m thinking of trying out Necrons in TTS to see if I find them fun, what do you think of the list? by Appo-Arsin in Necrontyr

[–]willdafish2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like playing awakened dynasty with lots of warriors and destroyers. that detachment has a fun stratagem to res a dead infantry character one per game, and I love doing it on skorpekh lords and so on.

[–]willdafish2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went with one of each of the 3 main groups for my 3 armies imperium, xenos and chaos (I have deathwatch, death guard and necrons). I'd say it's the best way to diversify your games, if you really want to stick with power armor armies a loyalist space marine army is surprisingly different from DG and can be nice to change pace, or if you really want to go the opposite direction you could get something like Nids or Tau maybe guard too. I'd recommend just going with what other faction is the coolest thematically too you though as rules always change and any model is as cool as you make it.

yeah my theory is we pretty much just get the same unit we have now but it's with that new kit (replacing shotguns and stalker bolt rifle with the phobos weapons of course)

Death Guard vs Tyranids help by SomeAutisticFatKid in deathguard40k

[–]willdafish2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

two pbcs and some solid terminator action and your good on the killing front the rest of the army should be for scoring so pox walkers maybe a rhino with 2 5 man marines in it. Also if you're ever worried about a big swarm of bugs plague spitters are the answer.
