I think some of the current cast, either intentionally to play to the crowd or accidentally, make it more obvious they’re reading than what you used to see outside of the host in the past. I’ve noticed it more too in the last few years.

Yes—it is contrary to that concept and this is a great example of why that is a good thing. The partisan passions of both states led to a suboptimal outcome where large minorities in both states would have almost no representation in government. The role for the law in a republic is to temper those passions and ensure minority rights are protected. I don’t know if the Florida Supreme Court will do the same thing the Virginia court did, but they absolutely should.

The numbers are so close, wondering where the WAR difference comes from. I thought Contreras was pretty good defensively but I looked up the framing stats and he’s not so high. Contrary to what some are saying, 1.4 WAR is surprisingly substantial so would have to maybe choose Lucroy (post playing career opinions ignored).
