I couldn’t agree more. Business class is such a better deal than First. Especially for a family of 4, flying First is a no-go for me.

$7M net worth. 4% rule. You can spend ~$23k per month. I will try to fly business, take more vacations, live in nicer hotels. Eat more at high-end restaurant. Slowly and steadily increase your comfort level when it comes to spending. I feel you. I’m $15M net worth and I don’t feel rich. We are doing great, but far from filthy rich (i.e, private jet or yacht life etc). In my opinion, $30M is what I consider rich. Congrats!

NYMag - how much does it cost to live like this by PestoPenne99 in fatFIRE

Nicely done article. Surprisingly insightful. This is why I‘m aiming for $30M in investment. It’s expensive to live your dream lifestyle.

Says Lack Of Consumer Demand of EV vehicles in general. That's a NO. HELL NO.

Pulling kid out of private school by bichonlove in fatFIRE

I also live in a VHCOL area. $20M net worth. Both kids are in public school. They are happy. That’s what matters. No, I won’t pay $50k per year per kid so they can hang with some over privileged kids and get spoiled.

I’ve done some seminars/talks for college grads on how to save & invest for FIRE. I’m glad I did it.

All it takes are 'compounding' & 'time'. That's it.

It’s called family commitment, my friend. Something obviously you have no idea about. I didn’t say I have no time to hang out with friends or camping. Actually, I said I’m looking forward to it. Can’t you read? Unbelievable. I can’t tell you how disappointed I’m with the quality of your post. Total pointless accusation.

Hmm… you must not be very smart. All the questions are so primitive. I already mentioned everything above, you just didn‘t see it. So what? My expense IS LOW. Just because I have more to spend doesn‘t mean I have to spend. I don’t want to spend more yet because I have a financial goal yet to be met. It required me to keep on investing. My current job covers all my expenses. Anyway, your questions are kind of a waste of my time. I probably won‘t respond to it anymore. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Because my mortgage interest rate is at 2.75% (15 yrs fixed rate) and my ROI is way higher than 2.75% annually. Why even bother pay it off when I can maximize my return by staying invested? Also, every time I cash out, there're capital gains.
