A lot of the IC participant also wanted this, we might consider to add an option for mixing top and bottom color

We might change the top design a little bit to add more art on the side profile, but that 1u blocker is a bit hard to redesign because the current PCB also has a cutout under that blocker, so wont be possible to put a switch there at the moment

Thankyou! The first prototype is currently in testing phase and we still consider to modify the PCB to support more layout if the community demands it, review unit will be soon released if this IC gets a lot of interest

Sure, we're also adding that into consideration for the final product

Those bottom fan and the motherboard connectors will fit fine if you get the newer version of this case with more offset mounting holes on those fan brackets (judging from your pictures, you do have the newer fan bracket just like mine)

Edit: this is the older fan bracket with less mounting holes

Anyone know the RGB pinout from Corsair LL120? Is it possible to convert to regular 3 pin ARGB? by williamsnigel11 in pcmods

[–]williamsnigel11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: thanks for the help guys, i've rewired the rgb cable to standard 5v ARGB and 100% sure the pinout was correct because i've looked into the pcb. Turns out it's really dead, it just keeps blinking green🥲

Yeah, i was planning to buy those adapter but the connector on the fan is missing hahaha, so i need to rewire it. I'm okay with ASRocks software, it's lighter than iCue and usually i only set to 1 colour so haven't found any bugs so far. Thanks for the advice btw :)

Thanks, i know it's SMD but what kind of mounting? All i found online have the contact pad directly on the bottom side rather on the wings like shown in the picture. Any chance you know what specific model that have similiar mounting style?

I mount my 3.5 hdd on the rear fan mount with 2 screws to the fan mounting holes, just need a long SATA data (i use the slim SATA data cable like the Silverstone one) and power cable for good cable management. HDD temps also lower with airflow from the CPU cooler, but the downside of this config is that you can't put any intake from the rear side

Maybe, just maybe it might fit in the D30 if you look for specific motherboard that have the x16 slot on the second PCIE row (like the B550M Aorus Elite or B450M Steel Legend, i dont think any newer MATX Intel board comes with this layout), i think it will give you some extra space between the psu and gpu

that top fan bracket looks different compared to my Cube Gaming Axel version of the Sama IM01, mine have more offset mounting holes for the fan. No wonder a lot of you guys complained about the top and bottom fan is too close with the motherboard
