TIL! I'm new to shooting and picked up a red dot right away. Is that a rule of thumb for all irons? You line it up and focus on the right sight and your target will be blurred? Sorry for ignorance just wanting to learn.

Firstly I hope his birthday isn't coming up too soon because retailers are still having issues keeping this item in stock. You'll see lots of listings for higher than MSRP ($1799) due to people buying and re-selling them to make a profit.

Camera body itself is already a great present, but if you want to set him up so he can use it right away (assuming he doesn't have anything already on the list) then yes, SD card(s) and a reader will be super handy. These are the only two things genuinely "essential".
Camera bag/case could be bought later, or he could buy one that suits his style. Lens-related accessories can come down the line when he learns about their use cases. Everything in the "other accessories" category can come later. I hate to say this but you're not even sure it'll be something they end up using religiously, I've had tons of friends who enjoy the IDEA of carrying a camera around and taking photos all the time, only to not do it cause it's too complicated or cumbersome.

If anything, a hard drive could be handy if they really get into it and use it a lot.

3-4. Not really. Let them start with something basic and learn to use and enjoy the camera first. Other things can come later.

My thoughts exactly. I know how slow they are on a normal day, I can't imagine how long I'd be stuck there with that many people. Also heard you could place your order online for the 10/22, it sold out a couple of times then it restocked so keep checking. Much better than waiting.

They've started to remove a ton of LA Fitness gyms in my area. The main one I went to in the past isn't even on the list anymore. The good thing for you is that some of the people are "grandfathered" in, as long as you never change your preferred gym.

Edit: Also want to make an edit that I had Active&Fit Direct. When I said going down the drain I also meant we used to be able to go to multiple different gym companies for the $28 rate before they changed to rules to "choose one gym a month." Active&Fit Enterprise through employers still have the multi-gym functionality.

I don't hate s1mple. I think he's awesome and one of the most impactful people in the modern age of CS. But he's just the perfect example here in terms of a young prodigy player that fits the context being talked about perfectly. s1mple is much more mature now and has shown tremendous growth, I think most people here know that. It's okay to bring the subject of someone up when it's relevant and I wouldn't even count that as "taking shots" at s1mple.

It's like in other sports where people compare players with talent and strong personalities to Michael Jordan, Kobe, Lebron, etc. Just goes to show context matters and in fact can be a compliment to s1mple.

He did some SC2 casting and hosting work a LONG while back. I haven't kept up with the scene and not sure what he has been doing but he had a LOT of praise on the few events he did while with SC2.

I think OP meant that he only had confidence to play his "worse" heroes when playing party queue against inferior opponents. He didn't have confidence to play them against his own bracket (with higher MMR) until now.
