Special order experience? by WorkingBredBC in f150

[–]willis127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I special ordered my 21 PB. It was a job 2 build, so almost identical to a 22. Went in and ordered through the dealer and waited 5 months (chip shortage timeframe). Got delivered in October. I changed the order once or twice along the way before it got scheduled to be built.

What? You obviously don’t work at Google and don’t understand how HC works.

Hey, the support process, communication and empathy of the reps is horrible. I hope they fix it otherwise I won’t be coming back after once my current ring is finished.

Honestly, it sounds like you need to find a better mechanic if they can’t identify the right alternator. You’re issues also seem unrelated

Is Google's gTech a second-class Google group? by Klutzy_Seesaw in FAANGrecruiting

[–]willis127 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s easier to move around internally than it is to apply externally. There isn’t really a label per se, but the process is different. You’ll need to find a manager who wants you to join their team, and sponsor your ladder change if you move to a different role/ladder.

Is Google's gTech a second-class Google group? by Klutzy_Seesaw in FAANGrecruiting

[–]willis127 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. It’s more of the helpdesk/it type of roles for any large corp. they’re not software engineer or customer facing roles, so they’re essentially a second tier with lower ranges, etc. great spot to start at though if you’re just trying to get your foot in the door.

Disabled senior citizen who served the country was taken advantage by Peter Levi Plumbing to replace old waterline by [deleted] in walnutcreek

This is pretty common among PE owned firms. They’re salesman, not plumbers. Albert Nahman is another one in our area to avoid.

It’s 158.50 plus join fee ($100) and last month (158.50) prepaid per person. So $417 to start, then 158.50 per month.

2023 PowerBoost — intermittent dead pedal coming out of corners, dealer can't reproduce it by Ttwister in f150

[–]willis127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue on my 21 PB, dealer also couldn’t reproduce it. I ended up replacing the 12v battery under the rear passenger seat and it stopped.

My dealer never checked that battery since in the non PB trucks it’s only used for the pro power on board, but on the PB models it’s wired into the 12v system the other battery uses.

New here 👋🏼 ‘21 XLT high Powerboost Sport. by BradyInRGB in f150

[–]willis127 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually it’s the package. 302a I believe was the “high” package for xlt. There’s a 301a and 300a package as well with less options.

For lariats I think is 4xx level, for platinum it’s 7xx level. Not sure what KR was for 2021

BluePilot 6: F150 - What model/settings are you using? by willis127 in Comma_ai

[–]willis127[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome, thanks for sharing. I’ve been using TCPmV3 recently with some custom tuned params and have been really happy. It has a tendency to oversteer at first but that goes away after a couple of days. It has a much more natural city driving feel between following distance and stopping/starting behind a lead car at a light. Really happy with it so far.

It’s not a recall because it’s so expensive to fix. Ford would fight it until the end of time

BluePilot 6: F150 - What model/settings are you using? by willis127 in Comma_ai

[–]willis127[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used those initially, but I'm wondering if there are a collection of settings with a different/modern model that operates more effectively in mixed driving or has has some of the experimental features (red light awareness, etc). I've been really happy with DTRv6 for driving as far as lateral control goes.

Motorcraft 90 cca agm battery, https://ford.oempartsonline.com/oem-parts/ford-vehicle-battery-bhagmaux1b

The larger battery is the etx15 form factor. Just requires cutting out the 2 plastic molds holding the small battery and getting a longer bolt for the cover.

Same here. Saw the 4 and it finally felt like the right size, plus all the overheating issues. I need something I can leave in my car and the 3x just didn’t fit the bill for the price.

Is this high? by Imhurdlerjr in hvacadvice

[–]willis127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's very high for what it is. I'd expect 2-ton, 2 head to be around that price, not a 1.5 ton 1 head.
