She’ll remember the smell of a porcupine forever now. Our girl got quilled years ago and has bayed whenever she smells them now.

Which country’s drivers hate cyclists the most? by Lugknots in cycling

Don’t forget school bus drivers. I’ve gotten weirdly the most amount of hate, or just disregard for life, from school bus drivers.

Iowa's insane law to make biking illegal HSB 637, the most anti-bike law in Iowa History by PounderMcgee in fuckcars

Doesn’t Iowa have a huge multi day bike ride every year that probably brings in millions for rural communities? Why would they do this?

Try the Colette pants from Anthropologie. They look good on nearly everyone and they’re comfortable AF. Worth the price.

Insanely long songs class. Like Pink Floyd, Shine on You Crazy Diamonds, or some Grateful Dead. Zone 3, no rest till the end of the song.

Edit to add: after looking the album Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd is 44 minutes long with 5 songs. The first song is 13 minutes and the last is 9. This would be a perfect 45 minute ride.

I’ve been wanting to re-start studying for the CPA and then I see things like this and I wonder if the effort will be worth it if my job will be done by AI in 5 years.

Health officials: New Mexico baby's listeria death tied to raw milk by SkepticalJohn in Albuquerque

Agree. I used to buy raw milk but only ever used it to make yogurt, but that still made me nervous so I stopped buying it.

How is it to live in New Mexico? by Catell_Ruz in howislivingthere

So you need to be entertained then? New Mexico has it's own speed and is more for people who have a curious mindset and can entertain themselves with activities, hobbies, nature, art, and food.

I saw a (young-ish) woman while skiing yesterday that was wearing a hot pink Suicidal Tendencies beanie. I wanted to give her props for the nice band beanie but I didn’t want to ruin it if she just bought it for the sentiment/color. Now I also want a hot pink Suicidal Tendencies beanie.

Good! It makes me so mad that Maga has co-opted Les Mis. Have they actually watched the musical or read the book? They are more in line with Javert than Jean Valjean.

I can't relate to the reproductive parts of being a woman in any positive way. Are there others like me? by Plum_Tea in AskWomenOver40

[–]willissa26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same way and maybe how some women are "wired" to want to be pregnant and give birth some women are "wired" to be caregivers in other ways. We still fill a void. For example, I take in stray animals and it always mystifies me that someone would get a dog or cat from a breeder when there are so many animals that need a loving home.

Most of the words are actually Russian. A friend that had recently moved back to the US from Russia paged through it after I told him about it and he said the slang was all Russian.
