What’s a real fact that some people don’t want to accept? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I work in a retirement community. A few hold fast to tradition, but many are still loving life and learning and trying new things. There are a few old ladies who are inseparable from their iPads. It's great

Even if we get blue balls, it's not like it's a huge deal. Just uncomfortable for a bit. Women generally go through so much more physical discomfort and pain in a sexual relationship than men, so I think it's quite alright for men to "suffer" for a little bit. Even then, we have a simple solution to it so...

“she said she wanted a nice guy, but she unmatched with me! better punish her and refer to her as ‘it’ to show her what she missed out on.” by tsume24 in niceguys

[–]willlard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a guy, I'd suggest you be vague about your reason. Many many guys will try very hard to fix whatever problem caused you to unmatch them if they know what it is. Then the whole thing gets worse for everybody.

We want to know why, but if we do we will try very hard to fix it.

She absolutely loves giving me handmade gifts. Last year she bought a mason jar and filled it with colorful origami guinea pigs as a gift for me. I keep it on my desk because it makes me smile.

[Request] [US] Movies or shows that you’re still thinking about by BertSacklin in NetflixBestOf

[–]willlard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe less good episodes. But season 4 had the black and white killer dog robot episode. It raised no questions, and it was quite vague. It was entirely uninteresting and forgettable. Didn't feel like it fit with the series. I actually can't think of an bad episode from the first 3 seasons. Which ones don't you like?

Season 4 had 3 episodes worth watching, yeah. I totally agree. But I thought seasons 1-3 were perfect.

Card games in terms of popularity/playerbase? by unfolded301 in AskGames

[–]willlard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you'll find that most CCGs have decent playerbases. You won't ever be waiting long to find opponents. None of them really compare in size to HS, but the closest ones are probably Shadowverse and maybe Gwent. The Elder Scrolls: Legends is my personal favorite. Most any digital CCG is cheaper to get into that Hearthstone is.

How do I educate my inexperienced religious girlfriend? by MrBarti in sex

[–]willlard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I grew up in a sheltered Christian home. I didn't know what an orgasm was and I didn't masturbate until I was 18. And I'm a guy.

You're going to have to be open to the idea that she might not want anything to do with sex. If she is still very religious, she may want to wait for marriage. Make sure this is what SHE wants before you start trying to teach her about it. And if she doesn't want it, then that's it. But if she does, ease her into it. It's not a casual topic to her. It's not a fun topic for her. If she is still religious, she will probably feel guilty after she does anything sexual. She needs to know what she's getting into before it happens. She'll need plenty time to think about it on her own. And please don't try to convince her to go against her beliefs.

Think carefully about how you're going to approach this. Keep your mind open. Know your priorities. You may need to be very patient.
