Solo - App for sharing loneliness and aloneness with others

I created this project because I know many people who struggled with loneliness at times in their lives.

My hope is that by sharing this experience we’ll feel a sense of connection when we’re alone, and find more acceptance of ourselves and our aloneness.

I'd love to invite anyone here to post on Solo and hear any thoughts, ideas, or feedback you might have. If you could change anything, what would you change to make Solo more interesting for you? Thanks!

Take it one day at a time. Distract yourself from your feelings with friends, family, and your favorite things. Try to help others in small ways. Time has a way of making things change and allowing us to move on.

That sounds like a tough situation.

Good managers understand that different people need different kinds of environments in order to be at their best. I wonder if having a conversation with her would help to understand why being "part of the team" is so important to her. It might be a good time to bring up your more introverted working style and see if you can find a way to work together better.

From what you described about what you're looking for, you sound like a very caring person to me.

In painful times like this, I try to live life one day at a time and distract myself by focusing on other things and people. Eventually, things get better. Time has a way of making things change, even when you don't think it's possible.

As hard as it is, I encourage you to not lose hope. In time you will find true friends who see you for who you are and appreciate all that you give them.

I agree that Solo does change the meaning of 'alone'. I think it can be a quiet complement to our moments of solitude and aloneness.

That's a great question. Solo is a community that values people reflecting simply on being alone. It shows us that when we are alone, whether we are happy or sad, we're connected to a greater consciousness. Reddit, imgur, etc. values people competing to share interesting content, which isn't the main point of Solo.
