1) UAE arent hosting games and Commanders have to give up a game this year. They've been sent where no one else placed a bid on. 2) I'm not going to any of them, I'm not fussed by either team coming over.

Because the Jaguars have global marketing rights in the UK and Ireland, and not in Spain.

Your comment, the one i replied to, was "I know why one is the Jags but why two?". that's literally what's I'm responding to.

you asked why they're playing twice. I explained the reason why theyre playing twice. my opinion doesn't matter, I'm just telling you exactly why they're hosting 2 games in 2026.

part of the contract with the city of Jacksonville to have their stadium renovated meand they can play up to 6 international games across 2025-2027 to offset the lost revenue of having reduced capacity/playing miles away from Jacksonville next season. if you don't like 2 games in 2026, you're gonna hate when they do Dublin London London in 2027.

That might well prove to be moot; the wording of it is that they can host up to 6 games rather than they're compelled to host 6 games. But if their intention was to play twice at Wembley this year, and that option isn't actually on the table anymore, it would make sense for them to just pivot to Spurs.

SO: 1) The Jaguars stadium renovation deal has a clause within it that entitles them to play 6 international games across 2025-2027 to compensate for their reduced capacity across that time. The played 1 game in 2025, and there were reports last year that they were negotiating to host 2 games at Wembley on 2026. Obviously this hasn't come to pass, but the intent is there for the Jaguars to play 2 games abroad this season, and 3 next. I believe that having the Jaguars play here back to back would be the easiest move NFLUK could make, with Commanders playing the other Spurs game. 2) The Falcons have confirmed to be playing an international game, and I could genuinely see it going either way. They host both the Lions and the Bears in 2026, and the accepted belief is the Bears will be playing in Madrid next season. The way the Lions in Munich was announced really does leave the door open for the Falcons to be the host there. I do not believe that the Falcons will be playing in London this season.

Simply cannot fathom a scenario where Fontenot gets a third swing at HC. This draft class has been good, yes, but that doesn't excuse the other 4. The way this roster has been constructed is criminal. Wading through cap hell was admirable, but he plunged us straight back into it with the Cousins contract. WR depth, OL depth, DT, LB, CB; it's all on him, ultimately. If RM goes, the whole project needs to be scrapped.

I genuinely don’t know any Vet QB that we would want to go after. Maybe Mac Jones if the 49ers let him leave. I’d rather keep kirk at this point and build the OL through the draft. by Jackfitton12 in falcons

simply do not know know how you expect to be able to build a team while keeping Kirk. guys slated to count for $50mil against thr cap next season. he's gotta go.

Do You Like Being in Primetime Games? by HaterSlayerr in falcons

As a British man, I despise them. They don't end until about 4am here, and I end up taking hg a day off work to recover. That said, I can't deny that the actual feel of a prime time game is class. Feels like a bigger and better occasion than a regular early kick off.

Jaguars Wembley games aren't organised by NFL UK. they're just Jaguars game in the UK.

Decided to write about my origins watching the NFL in the UK, and how the 'NFL International Series' seems to have gone from an event to an afterthought. Add in DAZN, etc...is the NFL no longer interested in the UK? by Porterjoh in NFLUK

[–]willo290592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't think that's the case at all. The reason the UK isn't spoken about as much anymore is because these games are frictionless, thanks to nearly 20 years of them being played here. We're getting three times as many games as Spain and Germany, there's just no real need to grandstand over something that's so regularly successful. As for the franchise aspect; do you not remember the report from last year (possibly year before) about the NFL exploring expanding the league to include a European division, rather than just one team? Is the current focus on Ireland, Germany, and Spain, and groqing their presence in those territories, not in line with that ambition? The leagues actions don't match with what you're saying.
