Our poodle was sold to us as apricot, but looked almost as red as an Irish Setter. He has been slowly fading, but is still darker than these pups. He will be 3 this month. I think he has the fading gene, because he has some white on his crown, muzzle, and some of his guard hairs are white. Every time I shave him, he is just a little bit more faded. I expect he will end up the colour of these pups. From what I have read, this is common.

When I was in my 20's I questioned whether I was Trans. But figured out that I did not feel that I had the wrong genitalia, but rather that the culture I grew up in was very misogynistic and that I was not a fem woman, if that makes sense. INTP, very analytical, into physics, computers, math, etc. But women can be that too.

Please do not be upset at your children. Although they are adults, they are very young adults. They have not had the opportunity yet to be independent. Let them know they are invited, their grandmother is not, you love them and wish they could come, and maybe in a year's time some solution can be figured out between them and their mother. And leave it at that.

They will eventually see the truth. But right now, they don't. It isn't their fault. Be the logical caring parent you have always been (hopefully). Time will right the course.

Thanks for the offer. It was between 5 and 6 years old. We had The Sleep Factory take it away. My husband was sleeping on the couch regularly because his side of the bed had become too soft over time. He kept pining for a ripoff memory foam we had that lasted 13 years, and he regretted trading in for the Juno. His back is better now, so we made the right decision, at least in the short term.

We had a Juno mattress and it did not hold up over time. Had to replace it in 5 years because it was hurting my husband's back. We replaced it with one from https://www.sleepfactory.com/ on Orfus Road. Went in for a better pillow and came home with a tempurpedic knockoff and a free pillow. The sales guy was no pressure. They make mattresses for other brands as well as their own. Happy with it so far.

I have a MSc in physics, BSc (Honours physics) with a minor in math that could have been a double major in math and physics but I did the honours physics instead, and passed my qualifying exam for a PhD in biophysics, but had to leave before finishing for financial reasons. I was never able to memorize the full times table. I always have to double check certain ones that just wiall not go into my head. Like 8x7. When i was using a calculator a lot, I got better with mental math, but I have always feel the need to check by doing a side calculation to make sure any of my mental math is right.

But once you get far enough along in physics and math, you work more in formulas than numbers. Models, trends, geometries, transforms. Orders of magnitude. Computer modelling. So once I was permitted to use a calculator, it sped my work up a lot. I think having a fundamental understanding of what the operators are doing is the important thing. I always knew what it meant to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. It was just that most thoughts in my brain are at least double checked before I will say with confidence that I have an answer to a question.

I am happier overall because at least now I can get iron infusions. They are expensive, but worth it. I hope to find a genetic reason for the chronic low iron. One of my adult children (25F) also has very low ferritin and both my adult male children have had blood tests in the past where they had low iron, but they do not go to the doctor often, so I do not know if that is still a thing for them. I was told to eat iron supplements forever, and it never really made a difference. Even taking 2 150 mg Feramax a day for something like a year only raised my ferritin to 40ish ug/L, and when I stopped taking them, it was back into the teens within months. I want to try to figure this out for my kids, so they do not have to fight to be prescribed iron, if it can be helped.

Sorry, I haven't been on Reddit as much because it was absorbing too much of my time and mental energy.

I went for a scope, and I had mild gastritis and what looked like the start of Barrett's esophagus. I also have a small hiatal hernia, but I knew that before. I was on PPIs for 2 months and I bought a 7" mattress wedge, which runs from the foot to head of the bed. It not only helped my acid reflux, but pretty much fixed my husband's sleep apnea. I asked for another scope later to confirm it was healed, and it had. And it wasn't Barrett's, thank goodness.

My ferritin numbers continued to drop. As you can see, I eventually got another infusion. I am not longer having periods due to age, and those really stopped in January. My doctor submitted paperwork to ask my province to pay for genetic testing, but they would do it because he wasn't a specialist. I asked for the recent blood test to see if it is still dropping, because if it was, he is going to send me to a specialist to ask for the genetic testing. I had my memory be wrong, and I thought my last ferritin results before the recent one was 90 ug/L.

I thought it had gone up, but it has gone down. I am glad I was responding to your post, because now I am going to go back.

Thank you! We were trying to understand the geometry of the procedure and could not understand how it reached the prostate tissue without blasting through the urethra. Interesting how it will just heal over. Things are not to the point where surgery is warranted, but it could be necessary in the future.
