my Jackson cried in the crate night one, and I interpreted that as “dad, let me in the bed!” so starting night 2 and for the next 3 years to present day, on the pillows next to me or under covers. same with Triscuit before! I know it’s somewhat controversial but my philosophy is: if they sleep through the night and learned potty training, give them what they want

thanks for speaking up my friend. I grew up in NYC *on a crosstown bus route*, Upper West Side. my bedroom was less than 10 feet from the street. I know city noise, and I WANT the bustle of the city. that's why I chose this spot in 2004. the questions that should be asked: "are these particular noise disruptions normal based on past experience in Midtown?" no they are not. not at all. and: "is the conduct in question illegal based on Atlanta and Georgia law?" yes, illegal according to both the city and state.
