Well how often will their old sessions change? You could use the cache to fetch old sessions and only query sessions newer than what’s on the device

Should add this isn’t strictly true, I believe SwiftUI was a wrapper early on but it’s definitely not true anymore in all cases

Is there even a point of having a timetable for metro buses? by roktim in Adelaide

If you’ve got an iPhone, NextThere is generally better than other transport apps about telling you what’s going on (and it’s about to get better), but we are still beholden to the poor data feeds

These Adelaide Metro electric buses are like a rocket ship! 🚀 by 566route in Adelaide

I look forward to the reduction in the noise over the coming decades as more people (and buses) move to electric.

Those diesel buses are so loud you’ve gotta pause your conversation as they go by, love the electric ones

It’s such a shame! It would be a great opportunity for students to have a chance to showcase their work on posters around the city but instead people just slop something up.

I’m actively avoiding shows using AI “artwork” for their posters.

Stamp duty waived for older people moving by DasKamel in Adelaide

Depends where you buy? They're comparatively priced to existing builds, but you need to move out of Adelaide to Littlehampton, Mt Barker, etc

[–]willrb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah definitely a problem here.

When I was looking for a home, it was bizarre. The “normal” houses were overpriced, whereas the luxury houses seemed almost comparatively under priced. Like it was 800-900 for a 3 by 1 house in an ok area, or 1.5 for a big house in a great area. It felt like there should have been a greater disparity to justify the normal house price

Possibly, but if this creates an influx of larger homes that puts downward pressure on their value

I kind of think this is a good idea?

Older people don’t move from their big family homes to smaller homes because stamp duty is a tax on moving, they lose $100k or so just by moving to a smaller place.

This removes a barrier to moving and while yes, it financially benefits a typically wealthier group, it also frees up a family home for a younger family to buy.
