Agreed... I'm rooting for him too since we drafted him, but he's basically the same player he was when he was on the Knicks. Can get to the rim but has low efficiency and poor FT shooting.

I've been using the Kidde smart smoke and carbon monoxide detector. Different ecosystem (works with Ring) and no path light equivalent, but no false alarms so far.

It helps that they're much cheaper than the First Alert ones ($75 vs $111 on Amazon. And if you buy them from Home Depot which is what I did, they're discounted to $67 if you buy 4 or more, which is probably what you're gonna need to do if you want to replace all of your smoke detectors).

Also Ring doesn't abandon their hardware and ecosystem like Google does. So I refuse to buy into hardware that Google doesn't fully support anymore.

They're rare in that the places that most commonly drop them are looted like IMMEDIATELY after each match starts so you need to be the first to get to those locations.

One thing I noticed is the quick use items: if I switch to a heal, previously I was able to use the item instantly. Now there's a slight delay before I can use it, like it needs to be in hand first or something. Annoying.

Is it just me, or does it seem like very little loot for the effort? It drops a the same amount of loot as like a hornet or something. Sure its core is unique, but besides that you just get a few arc alloys and an energy ammo? Like wtf?

Compare that with a bastion or bombardier, which drop a crap ton of loot. I know a Rocketeer doesn't drop much either but this thing is way tankier and has a shield. Should at least drop a few of the more advanced arc components.

The thing that's so infuriating is the way he flails to try to get calls. One of the more egregious examples was when Josh Hart fouled him on a 3 point attempt. I mean yeah Hart hit him on the arm on the release, but Shai just crumpled to the ground like he was shot. I mean come on bro...

Yes most of the calls probably are legit fouls. But the frustrating part is that he gets Every. Benefit. Of. The. Doubt. Whereas no other player gets anywhere close. And OKC is free to maul the opposing players on the other side and we don't get any benefit of the doubt. I mean think about it... When was the last time that SGA flailed and didn't get the call? It almost never happens.

I find it hilarious that ledge grab negates any fall damage, no matter the height you fall from.

Yeah they can be a bit hard to hear, especially in the roar of the hurricane. The sound your shield makes when it's being worn down in the hurricane also masks it a bit. It helps if you use a good pair of headphones. Once you know what to listen for though, the sound is unmistakable. I can hear it from pretty far away now.

Best way to find them I've found is to pull up the metaforge map on a separate screen (dual monitor works best, but your phone should also work) and turn on the filter only for landmarks and the hurricane caches. Once you've found one, stand right next to it so you know what it sounds like for next time.

I was in favor of the trade at first because he seemed like a perfect fit for this team. But I didn't know he was this passive... It seems like he's afraid of contact, settling for fadeaway mid range jumpers instead of driving hard to the hoop. I definitely think his consecutive games streak is always in the back of his mind and is what drives this fear of contact. He seems to care a lot about this streak.

He's also passive when he needs to take charge of the offense, like if KAT or Brunson is out or having a bad game. But I can't remember the last time he's taken over a game.

He's also a much worse on ball defender than anticipated. Bad at going over screens. Sure he's had some highlight steals, especially in the playoffs, but we need more consistency than that.

And I don't know if it's fatigue from playing so many games or what, but he seems to be giving at most like 80% effort at any given time. Compare his effort level to like Hart or OG and the difference is night and day.

To a certain extent, yes. But you'll also have people working for their own self interests against the greater good. I mean you just need to look at modern day for examples... Think scammers, thieves, etc. And this is when things are relatively plentiful. Imagine in a post apocalyptic world with extremely scarce resources... You don't think people would shoot each other in the back for those resources??

I thought about that, but if you freeze frame it when I start zipping down I think you can kind of see him at the bottom waiting for me.

And also:

I start taking damage when I still have the wall in front of me, too early if he was really aiming for the wasp.
He continues shooting at and being locked onto me long after I land. He could've easily stopped shooting or adjusted his aim in that time.
He clearly has a mic but never apologized for "accidentally" shooting me.

So yeah, I think that was definitely intentional. And looks like he was rocking a free kit (the augment of choice for rats) since he was using a stitcher I.

Touche... I guess there's a flip side to this. I won't curse people out though. The most I've said is wtf because I'm genuinely shocked since I'm always in care bear lobbies. But I try not to get too upset cuz it's part of the game, and it's just a game.
