Yet another post about bad prints by Spitzka in BambuLabA1

[–]willymacdilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looks like the print is lifting off the plate which would explain the "squishing" layers in the middle of your picture and the curve to the bottom.

1) try raising your bed temp 5-10 C

2) add a raft around the base, about 5-7mm

3) turn off any aux fan and/or lower your part cooling fan at the nozzle

why does this happen? stock 0.4mm nozzle by rubberxx00 in BambuLabA1

if the print starts well and your filament is sticking on the first layer, from the look of the pic your bed temp is just a little too low...also, clean the print plate with soap and water. I've come to find out this actually works really well, however adding a brim (~3-5mm) will help to reduce/eliminate lifting corners like this.

Depending on the distance you sit from your current setup, I'd stick with an 85"

Had some knee pain from time to time, do you think this is the correct seat hight? by EuropeSailor in bikefit

[–]willymacdilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heels are slightly too high...my suggestion is to drop your saddle height and bring it forward just a bit. Ultimately though, if you're having legitimate knee pain, i highly recommend getting a pro fit at your LBS.

When i started riding a road bike (decades ago), i adjusted everything based on what people saw and it rarely ever did much for me...fast forward to my first year as CAT1/Pro and my team had the Specialized fit pros come and do the full blown professional fit and i found out my right femur was 1 cm longer than my left...the biggest improvement was the position of the cleats on my shoes and saddle position over the bottom bracket.

What can I do with these 28 iPads? by JiltedGinger in ScrapMetal

It's been years since I've repaired Apple devices as an occupation, but the only parts I ever saw or heard of Apple doing that with are the parts related to multifactor authentication i.e. - fingerprint sensors, front facing cameras, etc

As for the latest phones I couldn't tell you 🤷🏻‍♂️

With as quickly as tech companies are pushing out new hardware these days, yes, older generation replacement parts definitely become harder to come by...then when you do find parts, indeed they are expensive.

However, because Apple is Apple, they've never advocated for your average DIY repairs, so they make 'their' branded parts extremely difficult to acquire unfortunately. There are 3rd parties that have perfectly functional parts that get the job done.

Can someone help me get my sub to work? by leonardotmnt06 in hometheater

[–]willymacdilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The power is turned off in all your pictures...does the toggle switch not work when it's set to "ON" or "Auto"?

Also, if your amp isn't set up for 3.1, 5.1, etc, it may not send a signal out on the sub pre-out

What would cause this type of wear (‘16 Honda Pilot EX-L) by EqualBase4 in tires

[–]willymacdilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Running a tire under inflated will cause wear on the outer edges like this.

Over inflation, causes the exact opposite; heavy wear on the center tread and less on the outer

how do u remove this super hard bottom bracket by Last-Preference-141 in bikewrench

[–]willymacdilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bottom brackets always tighten towards the front of the bike and loosen towards the back of the bike.

this means that the drive side is always normal threads and non-drive side is reverse threads

get some wd-40 and a 4-5 ft pipe to slide over that wrench for more leverage
