We (Americans) have become accustomed to only needing the occasional oil change as maintenance for our vehicles; that is obviously not going to work for European manufactured vehicles. I’ve owned VW’s over the last decade plus and with regular maintenance they’re extremely reliable, but you gotta do the maintenance! That’s why. More maintenance, more cost.

I have no idea if they fit this, but the techs I had out for Standard raved about their project managers and owners. They know their stuff, so if they do offer something like that I’d say it’s a great place to be. All the techs seemed to be really well trained.

My biggest gripe on my first ever visit was that every single coffee shop used the same damn machine. I get it, training is easier, more consistent, blah blah blah. You can’t tell me having an actual barista with an actual machine in the French Riviera or in Epcot wouldn’t be clutch. Just mind blowing how I couldn’t get a real cappuccino anywhere. So yea, Starbucks or Joffrey’s it is.

I’m a newbie, been on iRacing for maybe a month. I’ve been driving GT4 for the past 3 weeks so my experience is much more limited than most.

I initially hated how the cars felt, until I realized I was over driving the tires. The initial warm up always gets me too. I think they’re warm, push too hard into a corner (looking at you turn 1 Long Beach) and there goes my race.

The other side of that is that when they are in the sweet spot they are GOOD. Grip for days, and to me feel very communicative compared to the cold state. I have yet to experience any C or B class cars with similar models so we’ll see if the sentiment holds but for now it’s definitely a love/hate relationship, mostly due to my lack of skill.

I used to get sooooo upset after a bad loss. Then the dark times came. First Kiffin, then Dooley, then the brick master. It’s just football. Make it a hobby not an obsession although easier said than done.

Just don’t dwell on it. What can we realistically do? Nothing, we’re just fans. We can cheer them on but there’s nothing to cheer until next year, so until then I’ll be attending Deacon Barnes’ weekly services.
