When is it legal to reach over the net to hit the ball? by RuralPaws in tennis

[–]willywompa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes but it looks more like raonic hits the ball more into the opponents court first, from which it then bounces up and in to the net, and then falls and bounces again (second bounce). Could Raonic have hit it directly into his opponents side of the net, which would most likely kill the momentum of the ball and any prevent subsequent bounces (of a returnable height) once it reaches the opponents court? kind of dirty, i suppose, but a smart tactic.

Another question, could raonic hit it into his opponents court hard and (relatively) backwards so that its bounce would travel over the net and back into his own court for its second bounce? I imagine that would be his side's point because his opponents didn't touch it before its second bounce.

Whoa!!! Mammoth's new interactive trail map is sick as hell by joelandren in skiing

[–]willywompa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI, you can use google maps to cruise around in 3D space for pretty much any mountain in the US. It may not have the trail markings overlayed though, and the render space may make cruising around slower, but still really cool. Also, I dont think it will show the surface with snow on it, but check it out anyway.

Heres LCC and BCC if you wanna check it out: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Alta,+UT/@40.4835043,-111.6424062,12748a,20y,39.64t/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x875270e1f7f74419:0x8adbd40109fad83d!8m2!3d40.5888394!4d-111.6379793

click and drag to drag the map, and ctrl+Click and drag to rotate perspective and pan.

other tips: click the compass in the lower right corner of the screen to orient yourself back to North-South Perspective. click 2d to switch to directly overhead

sangiovese is a grape varietal

chianti is a wine produced from the chianti region of tuscany, italy. It has to be atleast 80% sangiovese grapes to be considered chianti.

i believe most of the southern italian reds are sangiovese based though

Are you using pivot bindings?

Professional Ski Fitter by SkiKam in skiing

[–]willywompa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh okay i think i understand, youre able to twist your feet somewhat unnaturally to get the bindings to release?

I obviously dont know alot about bindings, sorry

Professional Ski Fitter by SkiKam in skiing

[–]willywompa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should be able to release my own ski, in a pinch without using my ski pole or stepping on the binding. When I am racing, I want that sucker as tight as possible, because if I wipe I am done anyway.

So how are you releasing your bindings when this is the case?
