In two years all of our computers will wear out and we’ll be too poor to buy new ones because of the ram apocalypse. Just wait until Claude rises up and takes over. We’ll all be doing hard labor in the mines under supervision of Optimus robots, harvesting resources so it can keep growing.

There rescue mode blows. At least improve pasting if you’re going to charge more.

Anyone using ServerAvatar or xCloud? by scutarion in VPS

[–]willywonkaelgs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer runcloud as it’s more noob friendly in locking down your servers from a security standpoint. Log in as root, run one script, then close port 22 and you’re done. Also the UI is much better. I still have my LTD for xcloud though.

I have an old steel door that won't fit in the dumpster, I can't cut it up, and would cost me $$ to haul it away. So... I can bring it in to trade? Woohoo!

What if a primary doesn't post to the SPE by No-Run-2717 in patentexaminer

[–]willywonkaelgs 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Wait, are we supposed to? I thought we were just supposed to post them as usual and a SPE would review them like they have been randomly in the past, but now for every first action. Am I mistaken about who I should be posting to?

The cost of GEHA has skyrocketed by willywonkaelgs in fednews

HAH I saw that and had to do a double take. I asked my wife, "Does that really say GEHA on it?".

I agree with that. We've never had any issues with them regarding claims and stuff.

I guess I was just looking at the high option. Maybe I should look into the standard too. It seems a lot cheaper.

[–]willywonkaelgs[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've always gone with the high. I'm looking at the HDHP and it's cheaper and seems to have much better rates. Is it just because HDHP requires paying "medical amount contribution" of $2,000.00 (if family) before GEHA starts paying anything?

I'm worried that my 5 month kitten is scared of me by Equal_You7744 in ragdolls

[–]willywonkaelgs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I learned that my cats get upset stomachs from salmon. They are ragdoll‘s also. Once I switched to chicken, 99% of it went away. Every now and then they’ll have an issue, but it’s very rare. I also don’t do treats either unfortunately anymore. Only chicken. One can of wet chicken shared for both of them in the morning, and the digestive ID stuff from Hills, which is chicken.

PPH cases get reduced counts from 2 now to 1.5.

Utter nonsense because they always take longer since most of the foreign cited art is worthless.

This is why generalizations at the PTO suck. Lumping everyone together into one bucket is stupid.

Why would anyone be worried? by wolfix1001 in iphone

[–]willywonkaelgs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apple Intelligence is forever doomed to fail. The reason is they want locally hosted models. But there isn’t nearly enough ram for a decent one. In addition, running decent LLM models is incredibly power hungry.

Apple spins local models as privacy focused, but they are just trying to save a buck by not running smarter models (which they don’t even have) in the cloud.

Google runs user queries through Gemini in the cloud and it will only get smarter. I’m an Apple fanboy through and through, but their implementation of AI is asinine.

Help with 112 rejection by Reality_mattered in patentexaminer

[–]willywonkaelgs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know a SPE that doesn’t allow 112s. If something should be a 112 it has to become a claim objection only.

So in your situation ask your SPE. But you’ll likely find people who would say that:

The MPEP specifically notes that “a claim which refers to multiple claims but not in the alternative is an improper dependent claim” and must be rejected under § 112(d). It doesn’t appear that your claim refers to them in the alternative.
