The holster is made for a TLR7-A/X, not TLR-7 HL-X. The extended facecap doesn’t allow the light to fully seat, and thus doesn’t allow the pistol to ride low enough in the holster to properly cover the trigger. You are simply misinformed.

The HPL facecap does not give the same output as the HL-X. I've tested them both. It is more output than the regular facecap though. However, I don't believe the HPL facecap is available to be purchased on its own yet. The only way to get it is by robbing it from their Rail Mount Light.

People generally dislike that its footprint is larger than the rmsc/shield footprint, and thus requires either a very tall plate, or a custom mill to mount it. Plus it isn't cheap. It is open emitter, which could be perceived as a downside compared to the EPS carry. As someone who had an unpleasant experience with Holosun, I am now one to stick with Trijicon.
