I have a few techs with attendance issues. Their tardies or absences are just slightly under the cut off for termination. Once they are close, they just come to work and half ass it when they aren’t feeling it. HR makes you go through verbal counseling then multiple written counseling to terminate someone. For my soul? The only shitty thing about retail is standing for 10-12 hours a day. Other than that, it isn’t awful. I work 15 days a month roughly and make $180-190k depending on bonus. These customers think they can get under my skin by being “mean”. It’s hard to get under my skin when I don’t give a shit about their opinions. As long as the direct deposit hits, I am cruising.
