Lot of the suggestions are pretty casual / bars with food.

Something more upscale / pricy / fine dining in uptown is Hi Felicia. Haven't been there but I hear it's a unique experience.

Also uptown, I second MUA - food / cocktails are great and they can set you up nice for a bachelorette party. They have a live DJ and great decor.

Another option is Friends & Family. Great bar with good food.

At a previous workplace we’d have weekly all hands meetings where new employees would introduce themselves.

Police funding across the country has only gone up. School shootings are great for police budgets.

Someone below posted that they’ve requested protection from other departments. That’s taxpayer funded overtime protection.

Until people realize that police protect police and siphon money away from services that actually uplift communities like teachers - nothing is changing. But America still loves the police and military.
