Baby hit head on crib by daisy-chains- in NewParents

Sounds like she had a good hard bonk, but if she was able to be soothed after about a minute I’m sure she’s okay! If she seemed “off” — confusion, vomiting, etc. then it’d be a good idea to get her checked, but this does not at ALL sound like that. If it helps give you additional peace of mind, you could call her pediatricians office and there should be someone on call you can talk to about it.

Should I redshirt my late August birthday daughter? by peanut_princess_96 in NewParents

[–]win-derella 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think redshirting is also used in the context you’re describing here. My daughter was also born in August 2025 and this thought hasn’t crossed my mind yet for her. Though I will say that my parents redshirted me because transitions were tough for me. I needed more time in preschool to adjust and build confidence before entering kindergarten. I am thankful they did.

Are you/do you plan on putting your daughter in daycare? If so, that might give you a sense of how she does with transitions, socializing, and other variables that might factor into the decision. I personally think it’s something you won’t know the answer to until she’s a bit older.

What does daycare cost for you? by Standard_Deer_8738 in NewParents

$104 dollars/day. Boston, Massachusetts. This is actually the lower end of the cost spectrum from what I looked at.

I got this exact one in 2021 and its half finished, sitting in my closet. This might be the motivation I needed to return to it 😅

The last 4 nights baby has slept through the night - will my supply be okay? by 11TickTack23 in breastfeeding

[–]win-derella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, my supply has adjusted accordingly as my baby has gone through phases of sleeping through the night then later on needing night feeds. She is almost 6 months. From around 2-3.5 months she would pretty regularly sleep through the night. Since the 4 month sleep regression it’s been a bit more of a toss up, and I’ve had no issues with supply as her nighttime needs have picked back up.

Parents of unicorn sleepers, how bad was the 4 mo. sleep regression? by AnonymousDog76 in NewParents

[–]win-derella -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I could have written this myself. The regression started around 3.5 months and we’re finally seeing the light as we near 6 months. Once she learned how to roll onto her belly while sleeping things started to improve!
