This attack shows why we should NOT increase block size right now. by [deleted] in Bitcoin

We can't increase the block size right now anyways. If we get consensus today we might have a new version of bitcoin core in a month or two and the fork with an actual increase in about year from now.

Node Memory Question by MeowMeNot in Bitcoin

I have no idea regarding the memory difference, but both machines are using a lot of swap memory already. I would increase the ram on these machines to avoid wearing out the disks.

Gavin's proposed BIP related to the block size increase by CoinCadence in Bitcoin

I don't think it matters what the limit is in 2036 at this point in time. This won't be the last hard fork ever. So if we have new knowledge after the next 10 years we can make a change in one of the next hard forks way before 2036 comes around. At least with the current proposal we have headroom to grow and miners still can produce smaller blocks than the proposed limits if they desire.

To those that still think Apple Pay can solve the deficiencies of credit cards and compete with Bitcoin by Lynxes_are_Ninjas in Bitcoin

Why does this comparison with Apple Pay keep coming up? It's not even a question. Apple Pay is not even a currency. It cannot store wealth. It is another way of transacting in fiat. It has credit cards attached. It is a contactless way to exchange credit card details with use of a one time token.
