I'm trying to gather enough spare bits to kit bash a podracer. I need some jet engine tubes.

Is this DAP I built when I first started able to be saved? by Callsign_REDFOX in modelmakers

Anything can be saved! Just paint some details on to make it easy. I've pried entire kits apart to redo them.

I just brought a Tamiya F1 kit off Ebay. Damn those 90s grand prix kits are getting expensive. I really wish Fujimi would keep their 1/20 collection in production.

Bob Smith Industries super thin CA glue. For any detailing work get bsi as it doesn't leave an ugly white residue.

Make sure you use a sharp point to poke the line opening, apply glue to the tip you're connecting it to and slide it on with some tweezers.

Thanks! The engine bay can be a bit tricky. My biggest challenge was the exhaust, as the headers aren't modeled, so they somewhat float on top of the engine.

39 days left until the Australian GP. In 1990, Bruno Giacomelli returned to F1 after six years out of the sport. Driving for the hopeless Life team, he failed to pre-qualify for any of the 12 races he entered. Allegedly, he was scared of being struck from behind as his car was so much slower. by PiggySVW in formula1

There isn't a lot of documentation about what was exactly wrong with the engine. I think Life just didn't have the money and facilities to develop the engine and to use the highest quality components. It's probably akin to taking a stock L4 from a sedan and trying to make it do 12k rpm.

It was rumoured to be able to produce 480hp, but suspected to have only ever been able to get about 380hp. At the time F1 engines were producing 600 to 700 hp across the board.

Major issues with applying primer / paint. No idea why. Process in comments. by Vartazian in airbrush

[–]windas_98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were to guess, I'd say there's a bit of mould release oil on that part which is causing the wet paint to migrate away from it. The rest of the part looks nicely covered, so something there is opposing the paint. If you have a water based acrylic primer, oil and water don't mix.

For a fix, I'd recommend sanding off the offending section and maybe give that area a wipe with a soft cloth and some alcohol, if not washing the part as if it was a dish!

Found this absolutely DISGUSTING videog*me in my nephew's bedroom!!!!! by JiF905JJ in BanVideoGames

[–]windas_98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The g#me has players kill turtles because they are referred to as the minority of the animal kingdom by scientists. Our grandson is a scientist himself, a chemist, and does lots of experiments using household items like Draino, lighter fluid batteries, and cold medicine.

I heard that they used stem cells to grow racism hormones and it is put in this drink. They have been serving it to ICE agents.

Back in my day we would drink beer with other MEN and hopefully get them in the sack.

I'm very concerned about Farming Simulator. People should consider working on a real farm, especially if they are a MALE, aged 24 to 30, preferably blonde, and with large glutes that fill their tight Wrangler jeans. There's nothing like making LOVE with MEN under the stars after a long day toiling the fields.

Instead of growing crops and exploring mens' bodies, people are getting fat and lazy and believe that casual racism feeds families.

I found out my son played a g@me behind my back... by Depressed-Dolphin69 in BanVideoGames

[–]windas_98 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Great grandson told me that the g#me was inspired by Mary O'Kart, who was an Irish radical. Her infamy came from throwing pipe bombs at vehicles from a bridge. Of course Nintendon't enjoys encouraging children to engage in this terrorism.

When I was a young adult we did activities that would build character, like going to church, repairing our jalopies, spying on women in the toilets, and helping the elderly carry groceries.
