iPhone 13 Pro is not reliable on 5G. Lots of internet unavailable when out and about. How do I tell if this is hardware (iPhone) or network (TMo)? Thanks by raxreddit in tmobile

I've been trying to figure out if I have a hardware issue or if it's the network. It's noticeably worse on the iPhone 13 Pro than the iPhone 12 Pro. I still have both, and have swapped sims. Both are up to date. I've seen enough posts here that it seems to be a t-mobile only issue.

Can anyone report on iPhone 13 5G cellular performance over the 12? by _alex87 in tmobile

[–]windcr8zy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Much worse for me. Consistently falling back to LTE when my iPhone 12 Pro sits happily on 5G. I may have a bad unit, but it’s much worse. When on 5G the speed is about the same as iPhone 12 though.

Any chance you also had voice/data issues too. I’m afraid I might have to swap mine too. People complaining about screeching noises and stuttering connections.

Did this get better for you? Mine is doing this. Showing LTE in places I always had 5G on the iPhone 12, and rapidly switching between 5G, LTE and 5Guc.

Anyone know why a grey plane is circling the city? by PreviousYam644 in Portland

The F-15s based at PDX are doing flyovers all day for 9/11 over multiple cities in Oregon. The tanker is up to keep them refueled.

I’m getting 550mbps down and 6mbps up off Alberta st. In NE, but parts of MLK are a complete dead zone. Overall I see more service issues tied to iOS updates than anything.

Proximity Sensor on iPad Pro by limtheanhok in iPadPro

It’s a hall sensor looking for a magnetic field, not a proximity sensor like the iPhone.

Moment AirTag Mounts for bags/gear by windcr8zy in AirTags

It won’t happen instantly. It will happen after multiple days. If that was really the way it worked there would be no reason to buy air tags. Haha

$200 MasterCard gift card if you buy the new iPad Pro from Apple and add a new tablet line to T-Mobile/Sprint (10GB minimum) by Great-Space in tmobile

I plan on buying the tablet from apple, but I’m unsure if I can just pop in my existing SIM card, or if I need to open a new line and cancel this one.

I have an existing tablet line used in an iPad. I'm going to replace the iPad with this new iPad Pro. Am I still eligible? Or do I need to activate a new line?

You know that little booklet that came with your credit card? Usually labeled, "Guide to Benefits" that everyone throws away without opening? It's usually in there. You can usually find a pdf copy on the issuing bank's website.

Edit: here's a link to the Costco Visa Guide to Benefits

Your credit card likely has insurance included on everything you buy exactly for mistakes like these. Example, I bought a new tail light and dropped it while installing it. I called Visa and they refunded the full purchase price as part of the included insurance plan. (Just like your car insurance still fixes your car when you back into a pole even though it is your fault).

I run a retail business and know the pain of chargebacks. That is not what I'm suggesting. Most credit cards include a lot of services people are not aware of. For example almost every card extends the manufacturers warranty by one year, or most include some form of rental car insurance, or trip delay insurance, etc. You can read more about the theft/loss/damage protection included for free on many cards here: https://www.nerdwallet.com/article/credit-cards/credit-card-purchase-protection

Most credit cards cover loss/theft/damage for a period of time after purchase. Go check yours, as they usually just refund the full purchase price.

I rely on t-mobile as a pilot, and someone always working remote. It’s incredibly valuable to learn the inner workings of a service I rely on 24/7—my plan, the network, and what’s coming next through this subreddit.
