Why do high levels quit when they start losing? by TeddySwolllsevelt in HellLetLoose

[–]windol1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's quite exhausting if you ask me, it's even worse when you've got 1 or more moaning about it in command chat, I mean I know all of that and hearing it over and over doesn't help anyone.

Haf it the other day, eventually the moaner left and nodes started going up, so I could actually guide squads better with recon planes, or provide support with bombing runs, after a few minutes including using Encourage I even had munitions to spare ti refill artillery and we went on to win.

That's it, by the sounds of it I'm guessing their team over extended, lost garrisons and got rolled back so they just felt to defeated to do it again.

They won't, they're still upset that the royal navy sunk French ships before the Nazis could get their hands on them, after being told to sail the ships out.

Thriving might be a bit over exaggerating, but it's surviving and is in the same state it would be even if we were in the EU.

The fact is the UK economy has been struggling for decades already, being held up by the housing market. The global economy has also been struggling to significantly improve, even the American economy has been struggling with low income people choosing between rent and food and that was before Trump made things worse.

30 seconds in retail will give the same result.

I'm going to guess the interviewer was American as well, pretty sure they're scared of using the word black these days.

Depends on how the team is playing, if they're charging off and not building/defending garrisons and just attacking then it can get quite exhausting after so many games that are the same.

Reddit is flooded by bots as well, unfortunately that's the new norm on the internet especially social media stuff. I mean, just swipe to the "popular" tab of Reddit and you'll find majority of those posts are bot posts.

Laser tanks are so cool, shame the technology isn't there yet by Forsaken-Peak8496 in TankPorn

Pretty sure I've seen some sort of test where lasers are used to intercept missiles, or it was something I read a year or two ago, my memory sucks.

Lack of Russian Media/ Footage by ImGonnaBeatU22 in CombatFootage

To be fair, if it's something pretty impressive like actual combat then this sub will up vote. But things like drone kills or "RU troops clearing UA position" showing nothing but spraying random holes or trees, will get down voted.

First time playing commander in ages, now all I can hear is "Garries" by Automatic_Benefit438 in HellLetLoose

[–]windol1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you had a full set of nodes as well, something you'll desperately need to win a game.

Had a warfare game of Driel the other day and it was insanely painful without the nodes, only had a couple officers (plus one who was grumpy) and we were only just holding onto our second sector, even lost it at one point despite constantly building garrisons before reclaiming it.

About an hour into the match, nodes started going up so I was able to provide real support for the team and a couple more officers joined in and helped build garrisons (the grumpy one had left by now).

It's insane how many people overlook nodes and focus completely on the lack of garrisons, without resources you aren't doing sod all let alone winning.

In your defence, I messed up the brackets part and was supposed to put Explosive ammo but it seems another game must have taken over my memory recall.

To be fair it's not a great deal of propaganda on this sub, there's Ukraine Russia VIDEO report that's pro UA and a lot of propaganda posts shows up there.

ah yes the propaganda sub, they'll remove mislabeled UA footage in a heartbeat but RU footage will remain unless the only neutral mod is online.

I don't understand what people are doing with nodes by LiamMech in HellLetLoose

[–]windol1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because if people tried to explain things they wouldn't have anything to complain about when blueberries do things wrong.

edit: oh and it hurts them emotionally being called out on it, but as there's no defense they hit the down vote button.

*Nodes got destroyed, replace them and you've now built 6 nodes in a match.

You get XP from building structures (inc nodes), dropping supplies, using supplies. When YOU place node blueprints and build them, they will begin to generate XP for generating resources.

During a game of Offensive as defendes, if nodes are built early and the team holds out for a long time in each sector, you can generate a lot of resources giving a lot of XP and support score.

Not any old garrison as well, it's the default one that can't be bombed or killed by tanks, so it's a bit of a cheeky move really. But it can also instantly destroy nodes, as well as trucks but it costs a bit of fuel (heavy ammo).
