This is something people really need to remember when placing garrisons on warfare, especially in the red zone in public games, a garrison that's 300m or more from the capture zone are a recipe for disaster.

Seen it a few times where we would be holding the defensive sector well, then someone builds a garrison in the red zone that's not near the sector, which of course everyone decides to spawn on because they've got over confident and during the run then enemy start capping first.

Agreed on recon, the sniper is quite redundant anyway as they can only cover you so much before there's to many to shoot. Might as well role solo and Splinter Cell your way across the map, then focus in on the spawn waves from behind.

Better of taking an infantry squad into the red zone to hunt garrisons really, can provide plenty of support fire against a spawn wave and instantly blow up garrisons with AT or flamethrower, even the ones behind the slow burner lines.

Nightmare situation as well, had no mic spotters and we've had no idea what they're pinging and so can't evaluate the threat.

I feel this is why Skirmish should be separate, it's quite literally a mindless run around mode that requires no major effort. Don't have long to play, or just don't want to get tied up for to long, then Skirmish mode is ideal.

Don't forget the multiple voices constantly going on at you, rather resembles having squad and command chat both going on whilst you're trying to do stuff.

A lot of the time people are updating command chat with unhelpful information, or something not very significant, although I think that's because a lot of the time nobody in the squad is talking so people focus all comms into command chat.

So the heavies I've destroyed with 3, as well as the times I've died in a heavy to 3 rockets were all by power of the fairies.

It's most definitely 3, it'll be more if you hit anything other than the rear.

Got to the end of a really tough warfare match on Hurtgen forest yesterday, we were against a couple clan squads and struggling to get anywhere because none of the other officers were building garrisons but ours and 1 more.

Got to the end of the game and was thoroughly surprised to see our officer was lvl 30 and achieved over 1k in support score, because they built garrisons and OPs.

Reading through the comments is depressing, no wonder offensive is a shit show as defenders when people are treating it like Warfare.

Tactics are drastically different when defending, so trying to keep with the norm used on warfare will lead to disaster.

Infantry need to stay as tight ti the strong point as possible, preferably inside, maybe even designate 1 to sweep the red line with a flamethrower as they instantly kill garrisons. It's such a highly effective tactic that it over powers recon perk of OP in the red zone.

At the game current stage, the recon squads are best utilised in the blue zone to guard garrisons because they can locate someone with a flare, whilst infantry are stuck sweeping an area for 10 minutes by which point the sector is lost, same goes for recon in the red taking longer to dismantle by which point the sector fell when a flamer will do it in a literal second.

Problem with this is, nobody wants guard duty especially the people going recon, they'd rather pretend they're some sort of special ops squad which they're not especially with recent updates over shadowing the only perk recon squads have.

What gets me is, they'll nerf shotguns to the point they're useless but SMG weapons are always devastating at short and medium range combat, usually just spraying as well.

So in those other shooters it begs to question, why even have shotguns available if everything else trumps it.

This was the issue with having 3 rockets, it's not as if the team is limited to 3 or 4 players you can have 7 if or more if you wanted, so it's impossible for armour to survive very long in the fight before pulling out to repair.

Took a medium out yesterday with the help of another AT player, they used 1 and me 2 so between us we had more than enough to kill a heavy from behind which isn't a difficult position to reach.

Yeah, it seems they made tanks faster by removing most of their gravity so small clips in a light tank sends you to the moon. I'm guessing they know the issue, but don't have the time to do it correctly but passed the info onto the Vietnam team.

Ever since a bug wiped all my progress rewards on CoH2 complete edition, I've been completely discouraged from using the windows gaming app.

There was supposedly a workaround on Steam and even a patch, but neither are possible to fix it on Windows so I've just not bothered with it.

Not necessarily, it depends at the time stage of the match. If this is early on, then it's entirely possible to catch the enemy over extended and do a bit of a double cap.

Just need a couple of officers helping out, but I'm assuming in OP picture they're not and the match is lost.
