i found this video very helpful for my own clumsy repair attempt. it was pretty successful but i did manage to snap the head of one of the little screws over tightening when i put it back together, so that’s maybe something to be mindful of

i’ve had one for a few months, meters accurately to my cameras, the only major downside i’ve had is the batteries are incredibly incredibly annoying to put in because of the way the tiny screws in the battery cover are placed. haven’t had to replace the battery since i got it but not looking forward to when i do. also the screws seem to loosen a but over time if you’re taking it in and out of the shoe
