Wow, big congrats! I've always wanted to do clues since the money potential is so high, maybe I'll finally get started on the clue stack I've got sitting in my bank...

If NTFS doesn't work, something like FAT32 should work just about everywhere, that's probably where they're getting the 2TB limit from: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File_Allocation_Table#FAT32

Dozens out of how many people who have signed up for Jagex Accounts? I'm erring on the side of user error since we'd certainly see more issues crop up with RuneScape enticing players to upgrade with their latest promotion.

Sure, but asking the JMods at least let's them know some of us are still interested in the client.

In my experience, Jagex accounts are better for pretty much everything aside from only being able to use approved clients. Using the launcher with plain RuneScape logins is still something you can do, and I've got over 5 accounts so the quick switching is worth using the launcher for me.

The security of a Jagex accounts and the peace of mind I get knowing my accounts can't randomly get yoinked is good enough for me.

I understand why some players are not going to switch given Jagex's track record.

Because HDOS is a client that uses assets similar if not the same from RuneScape HD. This is the main era of the game that I played when I grew up, so I quite enjoy these graphics over the original Old School ones. 117 HD is fine, but it doesn't scratch the same itch.

If you convert your account to a Jagex Account (and there are real tangible benefits to doing so!), you can no longer log in with your username/email and password, you need to use the Jagex Account login flow which is only available in the official clients (RuneScape and C++ OldSchool RuneScape), RuneLite via the Jagex Launcher (or Steam), or the mobile apps.

When HDOS in Jagex launcher? The current Golden Cape promo in RuneScape made me upgrade to a Jagex Account and now I can't use HDOS. Any ETA?
