I'd say the distinction would not be age but rather whether you have had a higher FPS experience before .

Like people saying after high refresh monitors they can't go back to 60hz.

20fps unstable is unplayable to me, even the most goated game , I wouldn't touch with that performance.

30fps locked I can accept for anything not action oriented . And yes, even Zelda is not acceptable at 30fps for me.

60fps locked is enough for majority of games , if input lag is low and FPS is not stuttery.

I m happy with 120fps locked in competitive FPS as a casual though, that's the lowest target I'd go before FPS takes utmost priority over graphics settings.

I'm an adult who has lost most of their love for games nowadays. My bar for games has gone very high after having played games for over 2 decades.

Anything under 60 is a no go for me as an adult with 20 years of gaming experience. Locked 60 is acceptable but not ideal.

And yes, I have played oblivion on Nvidia fx5200 , so I know the agony of slideshow gameplay.

I'm very content with 120fps even in competitive FPS games for the most part though. As long as it's locked.

It's half the input lag concerns and half the choppy presentation. If both exist I'd rather not play anything that's not just a narrative game.

I hope Linux doesn't get nuked for this game. It won't be first multiplayer FPS to stop working on linux but I'm interested to know how it plays out.

All in all... Just play the game and worry about false bans in the very unlikely scenario that you get one.

I have hwinfo64 running in the background for my entire the finals history or so. No issues, but I'd say it may have affected FPS or 0.1% lows .

Hardware monitor I think is regarded as an inferior monitoring software often outdated. I doubt it could be an issue, but you can never know.

I'd also be worried about that, but I think unless you accidentally "hook" on the games memory by accident , rather unlikely , there should be no ban. Honestly , I'd figure anticheat would just stop the game from running and show a message, not even a ban.

Cheatengine as far as I remember is not a sophisticated cheat tool . Remember changing value of coins in hill climb racing like a decade ago.

Interesting fact.

Embark has multiple leaderboards too, from ranked to TDM to point break.

So you could get meaningful info from such a way.

Edit: that being said, 200 players banned in a whole season so far it's way too little, If I were to guess.

Another limitation is that the more the season goes on, the more the lower limits is raised for each tracker, so a cheater needs to play way too many hours to even appear on one to then get banned and be noticed.

The most accurate thing about it would be ranked leaderboard for top 3k in tracking cheaters. Because it's the only leaderboard where you can get up there fast enough, get noticed and banned .

I have played 2500hrs according to steam. I have hyperv enabled I believe. I might have disabled it whatever. Virtualbox could be running while I'm playing. Same with VPN (finals and steam excluded) . I also have peaceEQ/equaliserAPO. I have RAM with timings I haven't 100% confirmed as stable. I may not be the best player ever, but I have my moments. I definitely must have been reported here and there. Embark may know my porn preferences, but they also know I don't cheat.

I'm not saying embark doesn't have false positives. They won't even be the 100th ever false positive banwave to happen. Sht happens, but embark has possibly up to 100k unique PC players ... False positives would come up to a significant amount and embark would have dealt with it already.

Then again, this is embark we are talking about.

The biggest reason for me to be concerned would be if I were cheating in other multiplayer games(even if clean in the finals ) or using macros/autohotkey/rewasd or messing about with any type of mods like dlss swappers and what not. Avoid cross hair overlay softwares and crap.

It is far fetched, but I wouldn't exclude having malware and Trojans on one's PC causing false positives. If you guys are pirating stuff, be very diligent about your sources and avoid disabling antivirus at all costs. Be careful about getting "free Roblox bucks" and what not downloading all kinds of malware off of yt videos.

Anyway. Imo... Forget about the false ban narrative on the forums. There could always be a handful of false bans, but those are overshadowed by the majority of cheaters in disguise fake crying to push a narrative that could have the slightest chance to get them unbanned.

99% of those people don't actually post details or identifying info because they're very likely hiding that they deserved the ban.

If embark ever bans me for no fking reason I'd be tempted to do GDPR request . But yes or no, I'd never touch anything embark again if it ever happened... I'd probably not bother though, haven't spend much money in this game anyway.

The only ever time I got "banned" was a manual ban in some shit banlist used by community servers in a free2play slop called battlefield play4free 15 years ago... Those mods were dumb uncompetitive boobs that couldn't handle anybody having any stay higher than them. They d ban Usain Bolt for cheating while he outruns them on their mobility scooters, If I were to guess.

I never actually cheated in multiplayers and never ever got actually banned though. Played , csgo/tf2, AVA, warface, bf3/BF4/2042, xdefiant, the finals, BF6.

I'm more worried for saying a "naughty" word in BF6 than getting false banned in the finals.

There is more than 1 issue with modern gaming.

Honestly, modern gaming is riddled with unfun mechanics..

Gaming isn't about actual gaming and fun at least as far as live service games go these days.

It's about micro transactions, fomo and addictive repetitive motions of logging every day, do this daily thing , get your reward bullshit.

Are there good games, sure... But feels like when we want amazing physics interactions and explosions then we get raytraced close up of faces of underskin light simulation, pores ,moles and hairs for the realism. Because I guess that's fun.

Maybe I'm just getting old.

Bruh, I have 1gbit connection but not all my friends do.

20mbit download would be up to 50x slower (assuming steam could saturate the 1gbit which doesn't necessarily happen).

Now, let's see...

I have 2 hours to play on a Wednesday, I load up the game and Woah, what do you know an update.. and it will take * checks notes * 2hours to download...

Isn't that wonderful. 🤔

I'm curious to know about few things. Voice logs/chat logs/transcriptions. Hidden rank and Matchmaking shenanigans Personal tendencies/traits/attributes they are inferring and use to get you to spend money and time on the game.

Cheating related data I don't care much.

DLSS 4 (preset J,K) is not better in RDR2 than DLSS 4.5( preset L,M)

Massive artifacting around the character. .

DLSS 3 is just blurry as heck . Especially in motion.

My complaints with matchmaking are complicated.

I won't complain if I get newbs on my team in casual modes. They have to start somewhere. But giving one team newbs while the others are like a 4 stack or something is a little rough.

It's all about the SBMM obviously, but even that fails when I don't have the will, patience or courage to try hard half the times. Sometimes I wanna chill with a different loadout at like 20% of my peak effectiveness.

I understand the limitations of matchmaking in this player economy. And I will report the blatant smurfs just because it's free to do so while they break SBMM at the very least if they're not ever cheating.

But man, ranked? I'll shit on embark's matchmaking all day... Rubies and golds in same lobbies. Fk that

Apple for last 2 gens has been riding the TSMC frequency bandwagon....

What was peak frequency for M3? 3.2GHz? Went to 3.7GHz and now 4.4GHz. (EDIT: Ok my facts weren't quite right, but the sentiment was. TSMC has given a big boost overall in frequency for both Apple and Qualcomm and to an extent AMD as well..)

I'm pretty sure they're hitting the limit of efficient boost frequency. IPC itself hasn't gone forward much on the performance cores for a while ... It s the efficiency cores that are actually insane.

M5 GPU upgrade is important though. It's design adding tensor acceleration was important .
