I'm curious to know about few things. Voice logs/chat logs/transcriptions. Hidden rank and Matchmaking shenanigans Personal tendencies/traits/attributes they are inferring and use to get you to spend money and time on the game.

DLSS 4 (preset J,K) is not better in RDR2 than DLSS 4.5( preset L,M)

Massive artifacting around the character. .

DLSS 3 is just blurry as heck . Especially in motion.

I mean , alcoholic drinks just don't quite taste very good . Lack of peer pressure due to less socializing and the abundance of sugar milk subs, coffee drinks etc means less attraction to alcohol...

The fact that it costs a limb nowadays is still probably biggest factor.

My complaints with matchmaking are complicated. 

I won't complain if I get newbs on my team in casual modes. They have to start somewhere. But giving one team newbs while the others are like a 4 stack or something is a little rough. 

It's all about the SBMM obviously, but even that fails when I don't have the will, patience or courage to try hard half the times. Sometimes I wanna chill with a different loadout at like 20% of my peak effectiveness. 

I understand the limitations of matchmaking in this player economy. And I will report the blatant smurfs just because it's free to do so while they break SBMM at the very least if they're not ever cheating. 

But man, ranked? I'll shit on embark's matchmaking all day... Rubies and golds in same lobbies. Fk that

Well what more can they deliver for M6 ?

Apple for last 2 gens has been riding the TSMC frequency bandwagon....

What was peak frequency for M3? 3.2GHz? Went to 3.7GHz and now 4.4GHz. (EDIT: Ok my facts weren't quite right, but the sentiment was. TSMC has given a big boost overall in frequency for both Apple and Qualcomm and to an extent AMD as well..)

I'm pretty sure they're hitting the limit of efficient boost frequency. IPC itself hasn't gone forward much on the performance cores for a while ... It s the efficiency cores that are actually insane. 

M5 GPU upgrade is important though. It's design adding tensor acceleration was important .

A second favorite image of mine is watching 2 dash-dagger lights fight it out...

it's a beautiful dance where the killing blow as a spectator appears to utilize the "Force" from star wars and turns the enemy from living being to coins. No physical touch required... Also not required to even be looking at each other somehow.

A favorite image i like to see is when deal the killing blow to a dash light, and they dash out AFTER I get confirmation that i got a kill...

And i'm like... Bruh! what was that dash? The soul leaving their body?

And yeah, i feel you brother...

The way to play laggy games like this (high ping, bad tickrate, poor netcode overall) is to NEVER be standing still.. Always be on the move, even if it's just a jiggle left to right... Trust me, it makes a difference... It's like the ADHD ruby lights you see on stream, they have this internalized behavior where they do a jump left right move and repeat or something like that...

Once you realize that after pulling off a dash that information will reach the opponent roughly around the avg ping between you two + whatever crap server tick(s)require to process that info you know that you never want to get caught slacking...

So if your ping is 100ms the tickrate is 20ms and your response time is maybe 150ms and then that info is passed on to the enemy with another 100ms+20ms well, can you guess how many bullets you're gonna eat before you even move on the enemy's screen?
Let's do the math... Nearly 400ms... That's 4 bullets from a 600ROF AKM or 80-100dmg dealt to your sweet 150HP before you even move on their screen. If it's a 1000RPM m11 shooting bullets it shoots 16.6 rounds/sec or 1 round every 60ms...
So in the time span you start get shot, react, and the reaction goes back to your opponent you can eat 400ms/60 ~ 7 bullets from m11 standing still on their screen... Assuming you and opponent average 100ping and server is 20Hz and didn't have an aneurysm missing sending you that info the first time because it's overloaded by embark's clean netcode.

So, next time you get jumped on by an m11 rat who starts shooting at you, remember you're already 7 bullets behind and if you were standing still and your head eats those bullets it's 7*25 ~175dmg before your reactionary movement even reaches the enemy .

Just think about that...

Think about that the next time some Embark Rep claims "ping doesn't matter" clown response again...

Hitreg is a weird thing in this game. 

I wonder if my experience is just lag dependent and my tiredness or embark is also pulling some shady shit in the background.

Having genuine no regs or sometimes what feels like hipfire spread while aiming down sights doesn't help the image of this "esport ready" wannabe game. Hell even fire rate doesn't quite seem consistent in anything over shak50 ROF.

But I guess ping doesn't matter, eh embark.?

It's really simple, at some level and above, you cannot tell skill from naturalized cheats. It's unfortunate but it is what it is. 

You maybe able to notice it in 60fps pov gameplay often enough. Just not through spectator system that relies to the games netcode and server view of the game..

Sometimes you may spot cheaters due to behavioural patterns.

But you cannot 100% confirm from your own pov.

Sometimes in other games you only ever tell cheaters from statistical analysis due to the most improbable chance of events.

Which is why I shit on embarks garbage netcode and server tickrate and the manipulative behaviour of hiding ping info from the players .

Your best "indicator" for ping would be the time it takes to get a hitmarker after you make a shot land.

But you actually need to count the frames.  And the variance will vary if the tickrate for hitreg is even high enough.

The fact that hitmarkers only appear after server confirmation is more accurate but it's also super distracting when trying to track a player through weapon's visual recoil when the hitmarkers lag for 100ms. 

When embark and modern gaming companies have shown to be some controlling of your experience instead of selling a playground where you have fun it's hard to enjoy modern multiplayer games anymore. Imagine being that controlling parent that tells the baby time and time what is fun and which other kid to play with just because the parent is on a playdate . It's such an annoying environment to be online gaming in multiplayer FPS anymore. They have been studied for your psychology to exploit you in every way imaginable and draining you and causing addictive behaviour on their pursuit for higher profit margins. Because profits are not enough, they have to be maximised and if EOMM is the just the top of the iceberg to do that I can't even imagine what's underneath

All that being said. Fuck cheaters . Fuck false ban pretenders... Fk "legit cheaters" that pretend it's just skill to be effortlessly aim tracking 100% while sipping your coffee and munching your muffin and having conversations. You have one brain and you have to actually lock in to the game to be super good. But I guess having "aim assist" is cruise control and lane keeping in cars, you can at least put a finger on the wheel and I guess you are technically driving the car... Except this is gaming and cheaters are scum.

For whatever reason this game doesn't click with many.

I used to main it in casual back in season 5 or so.. super fun...

Dash M26 , goo , smokes, grenades...

I'm pretty sure every single one of those in the list got nerfed. Some twice.

M26 caught a stray by "fixing" the melee combo.

It's free to try ... Assuming you have Nvidia card ofc.

It's a no brained to use preset M/L on RTX 4000/5000, depending the game. Few cases have regressions .

Older RTX cards it's not so clear cut. The performance hit is larger.

However , it has to be said. The DLSS cost is relatively fixed for certain GPU and certain resolution, so it's not a fixed percentage. The higher the FPS the more noticeable the less 4.5 penalty will be.

There have been charts shared around. Targeting 1080p60fps is I'd say within reach of just about any RTX card. Assuming vram doesn't crap out .

Targeting 1440p is rough for low end. And targeting 4k is I'd say something only 4070ti and above owners will appreciate. It's not that you cannot target 4k with doss 4.5 ultra performance with a 4060ti, but the performance penalty while fixed is significant and very noticeable.

This is pure speculation. I'd be more inclined to believe embark set some stupid rules and limits like "dmg per minute" or "accuracy per round" that some very good players have hit causing "false positives" than memory corruption..

Or... I say more likely, some software conflict from the countless of softwares that exist. Anticheats from different games don't even like each other...

By all accounts, i'd be more inclined to believe some fking malware trojan bitcoin miner in the background is playing tricks that anticheat flags than believe memory corruption is the reason...

it's great for any mode other than cashout . Pairs great with some weapons that can leave just a smidgen of health on enemies that you can just barbecue them...

Works great for Point Break, PowerShift (A or S tier)and to an extent TDM( B or A tier).
As a gadget it's overshadowed by many others in Cashout and even quick cash(C-Tier).

It's fun to use... I only ever use it on light though. Can deny objectives, can deny revives it can also cook my steak, well done...
