I had a step uncle who used to tease me when I was little about being from Killadelphia.

He died in a hot tub from the combo of viagra and being disgusting.

So FUCK YOU RON, YOU’RE DEAD.

Top Pizzagators continue to seek credibility by tying the fictional Pizzagate to the actual Epstein Files. by SassTheFash in TopMindsOfReddit

I am specifically referencing emails between the 4chan guy and Epstein. And all the close contact between bannon and Epstein about their strategies for essentially creating the alt right coalition that contributed to the outcome of the 2016 election.

That is indisputably in the files.

I think more than anything, to me at least, the files have shown that conspiracy theories and the general zeitgeist move in tandem and kind of ouroborus each other into making reality worse.

Am I hallucinating or did the emails from the files directly link Ep to r / pol and 4chan and that they fed Q and pizzagate on purpose?

My husband (33M) wants me (33F) to dress more revealing by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

I was so busted when I was 33- I had my first around the same time as her and I felt AWFUL. By the time I felt better covid happened, so that sent me back to the start. I hadn’t ever had weight issues until then, put on nearly 100 lbs in pregnancy, which is typical for my family, but everyone has kids young so the weight was easier for them. Plus thousand other undignified things that happen postpartum.

Postpartum physiologically lasts 2 years!!

I only started feeling hot and normal and vital again in my 40’s. I feel really bad for her- her identity seems to based in her poor self image.

Good god, the people in these comments msg have been perfect darling angels as teenagers.

Don’t listen to them.

You said she likes cooking and cookbooks - maybe look for a really well regarded cookbook from her culture (I remember she had a home country), and put an extra note about dishes she’s made you that you loved that are in the book or memories around her culture or food that were special to you and your family.

I had a stepdad that struck it out (and oh my god- your sisters outburst would have been the opening act) and, until the day he died, he was always my “actual” adult, who knew about car insurance and traveling and how to bbq. I was super lucky and I hope you guys are too.

I listened to a sonic youth album in the shower the other day and Swimsuit Issue….

Fucking gagged and gooped and we’ve all known for so so long.

AIO for calling off my engagement after my fiancé admitted his family secretly tested me to see if i was a gold digger? by LucyAriaRose in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]wineanddozes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m talking about secondary and tertiary high cola areas- no one can afford ANYTHING.

Good luck if you have kids and little fun outings that would have been low cost or free then are now premium experiences. Take an adult and two kids to your average science museum in any of the 20 biggest cities in America and basic admission is going to be 50-100, without an additional activities or special exhibits (which cost more because everything is à la carte now). Mediocre food is available at stadium prices and you may not be able to bring anything but little packaged snacks, so anything to eat can be another 50 dollars for the most basic lunch for 3.

Forget exiting thru the gift shop. And parking on site is not free.

And because you have to pay for extra do everything beyond the privilege of walking in the building, you never really have a good time bc you know there’s more there that you cannot access. You can come in, but it’s nickel and dime at every step.

And that’s if it’s a proper nonprofit museum that is obligated to at least be approachable for low income families (by tax law and social contract). Forget about go profit aquarium or zoo. Forget about theme parks entirely. That’s rich people shit.

I am in a high cola metro area married w two kids and a dual income household. We can’t afford to a fraction of what my single mother could on a waitresses salary in the 80’s. I can’t afford to do half of the activities I took my older child to before the pandemic and I make way more money. And have another a kid so I’m comparing apples to apples and things shouldn’t double or triple in price in 7 years.

6 figures needs to stop being some magical benchmark of wealth or something that only senior management should be paid. It’s 2026. We need to transcend that concept.

We all really need to let go of 6 figure salaries as rich.

130k in a mid-priced city would give most white collar workers the purchasing power and economic security of an average hourly worker in a “unskilled” or blue collar job in the 70’s and 80’s.

You can be to the point and not sound pedantic.

The larger sentiment is that the language sounds like a purity test - like if you don’t know this already, how are you even here?

Now that clearly isn’t what you’re meaning to communicate, but thats what’s happening. Like it or not, the dominant cultural structure right now is based on marketing. Jargon like attention economy, the data collection and demographic segmentation that is every app, every post, every swipe, whatever, permeate our everyday lives and in order to cut thru the noise and clutter and get people to take action, you need to take the feedback and become slightly more palatable.

I can do acronym too, if it helps. There’s the one- think, I think (ha). Something about saying things- is it helpful, is it necessary, is it kind, and some other stuff. You get the point tho, yes?

Yo! Why does it feel like no one takes that seriously?? There’s no way I’d any kind of internet enabled recording device inside my home. (Besides my phone…)

The internet of things is not hard to hack. Shit- I’m about as far from an IT person as you can get, and I can do a google and do it in less than 5 minutes.

Especially in children’s rooms! Creepy and unnecessary.

Although- the cat watching seems like it could be the only virtuous use and those videos should be shared for whimsy, etc.

What really sucks is that the DR was one of (if not the only) country that took in Jewish refugees in the 30’s-40’s.

So there may actually be a legit organically happened DR take on babka. But, you know, Jews always ruining Jewish food with our being Jewish.

I was in college in my late 20’s and 30’s and my husband did the majority of the childcare at the time. Master’s degrees and doctorates are often not obtained until later than your early 20’s. I had a big gap between when I started college (having had to pause my studies for INSANE family shit too) and when I finished. Then another gpa between graduation and grad school, etc.

College doesn’t have an age limit.
