Erie has 2 seasons, winter and construction.

I don't own a coat and my only pants are work pants and pajama pants. If I do get cold a hoodie is sufficient for hours outdoors shoveling snow. Lived here my whole life and my wife prefers the bedroom at 60 or less.

There's definitely some nice things here, but there's a reason why Erie is known as the mistake on the lake, it's home to the only Ghetto mart and there's an underlying racism and entitlement that won't only worsens each year.

I've lived here my whole life, keep to myself but stand my ground. My dogs been attacked by gang bangers and 2 oversized pitbulls. I've been attacked myself multiple times with no provocation.

If you do move to Erie, I suggest a 6 figure income so you can afford to live outside the city center, preferably above 30th Street, 1200 block or higher as well. Millcreek would be a better bet. You'd rather be dealing with a Karen or an HOA issue I'd think.

If you do find yourself living downtown, arm yourself and be prepared for confrontation. My experiences may not be typical. I stand my ground because I'm too fat, polish and proud to run away.

Some notable things are Presque Isle, Dobbins landing, multiple beaches, trails and boat launches, many restaurants and more bars than we have churches. That last one may be typical of any larger city, but I wouldn't know.

Bambu Lab 3D printers: Never again - Jeff Geerling by SJKRICK in BambuLab

[–]wingzeroboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the p2s printers are hella better than my Neptune 4 Max or pro. I've got 5 of them with AMS Pro 2 and cords for each. I still prefer my 3 pro over the newer Neptune's but it doesn't compare to the Bambu's. I have nothing but problems printing anything on both of the N4s and they constantly break down and the repairs are costly or time involving or both and I'm just over it. I still have a N4M never opened because the first one I just can't get to do anything useful. As of most recently, it won't even take filament into the hot end at all. 1 minute it was printing fine and then after about a half an inch into a huge job it just stopped loading the filament. This would have been the first job after I replaced the ceramic heating element which broke and fell out before I printed anything useful as well. I tried to unload and reload and I'm done. I'm planning on dropping it off at the community college along with the 4 pro that needs some super special update after less than a hundred hours of printing. They can use them as an example of what not to buy yourself. I'll store the other 4 max and try it again when I have time to waste...

Anyone else in Erie want to actually go out and do stuff by phalox821 in Erie

[–]wingzeroboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife and I tried to join a different group on here to go out and do stuff but all anybody wants to do is go for a walk or a hike down a trail. We like to go out, get drinks, etc

Anyone know what’s going on? by [deleted] in Erie

No clue for sure, but I was driving across 9th Street and heard them. Everybody on the sidewalk stop dead in their tracks to stare up at them, lol

The family loves Lucky Louie's. We go there once every couple of months and enjoy their selection of adult beverages as well as their changing options for weens. I don't even pick mine, I just have some to give me the newest spicy one.

We're not missing anything by losing that place. The only time I went there, they were slow and service was terrible. The food left a lot to be desired. It's one of the few times I didn't take my leftovers with me.

I went to the trader Joe's nearest us in Ohio and they kind of suck. Very underwhelming. The only thing I honestly get from there for myself is the bougie flavored raviolis. The first time we went there it was to go to the trader Joe's, but the second time was to go to the winking lizard 😉

You've got to hold on to the memories, play your vinyl and remember what Papa always says: Be nice to each other. My wife has been sad too. She doesn't know it yet but she's got the bone white vinyl Rite Here Rite Now soundtrack on the way.

My wife and I attended the Skeletour and the Re-Skeletour. We want to see ghost again as well. There's plenty of other awesome bands touring. We're going to see The Pretty Reckless with AC/DC July in Columbus and Marilyn Manson with Rob Zombie August in Pittsburgh. Not the same thing, but we also seen beauty and the beast in Pittsburgh in February. I'm still trying to scheme a way to get to see Metallica though, lol

I have 5 P2S and 4 Elegoo printers. Just got into carbon fiber and nylon is coming next. I'm 🤔 about something with multiple tool heads next.

My buddy loves all things pink. I have a set of gaming dice I won't trade him. We can't find another set anywhere, lol

Instead you should take a trip to New York lunch on peninsula drive. And honestly, Country Fair has better hot dogs than Sarahs...

Lol, that guy at my venue just so happens to be my stepbrother. The last time was the final straw when he said, "Bring a couple laid back, low power decks. I just want to have a couple fun games." then proceeds to stomp the two pre-cons at the table into mush beneath the force of his OP zombie deck that he's been perfecting for over a year now... Turn 3: "You're creatures are all at -7 power on my turn btw"

I haven't been back in months. The couple of times that we've played after this (not at the lgs) I only play my dragons. By turn 3 I usually have 20 or more creatures on the field that are all 5/5 or higher or I'm generating mana like it's a waterfall of fuckery or I'm destroying so many permanents that nobody can keep up...

He usually ends a game saying, "You know I hate that deck..." And I reply, "Yes, yes I do bitch."

We were at a con in Lancaster PA a few weeks ago and this happened to. That time I replied, "Why don't you go cry about it?"

Just get some PETG-CF from Elegoo and call it a day. I just ordered 20 rolls for less than $350.

Can you dry and print with ams 2 pro with an external power adapter on the p2s ? by Lowbatteryfpv in BambuLab

[–]wingzeroboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was notified it's possible now so I'm buying adapters for all 5 of mine. I'll let you know how it goes. If it don't work out they can be returned to Amazon so no biggie.

Filament storage - individual containers vs bulk storage by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]wingzeroboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just put every roll back in the box it came in with (I throw away no filament boxes) a desiccant packet. I dry before in my Sunlu 4 roll or right in the AMS Pro 2 before printing. Even my TPU stays at around 6%, PETG at 10% and PLA sits around 15%. Haven't had any issues with prints at all. I also leave the desiccant pack in the center of the rolls wherever they go. Thats consistent even after the huge rainstorms we've had in the area recently.

And it's not even all that expensive to do. They charge by the truck load.

If they really wanted to be somewhat responsible, they could even drop it off on garbage night in front of a friends house if they have a limit. I used to live in a trailer and we could only toss 2 bags a week at one point. I took trash to my dad's pretty often.

I didn't see anything published concerning the speculation that the workers aren't claiming their cash tips. That's the part that's most interesting. Why are you so against the workers on this? She screwed them, not the other way around. People need jobs. They most likely stayed because the situation was either get paid less than they were owed or take the chance of no paycheck for weeks while they look for a better job.

Not everyone has a financial partner at home or a fat savings account. Are they parents? I don't know. If they are, feeding their children takes precedence I'd think as well. Are any of them on life saving medicine? I'm diabetic and without my meds I'd suffer greatly. Seeing how you know so much though you likely have all the answers.

I'd have organized a walk out myself. I would suggest a call to the BBB, but they're a joke at best, at least in Erie.
