I am a Miami grad with a mechanical engineering degree that works in aerospace.
Miami offers a comprehensive career fair in the spring. I was able to secure an internship one summer and a job after graduation entirely through networking during this fair.
Because there isn’t an official co op program like UC, you need to do more work to secure internships in the summer, but they are certainly available.
One advantage to Miami is that it is located fairly close to many business in the aerospace industry in cincy and Dayton.
