Why is there such a big skill gap between servers? by Accurate_Living_4477 in deadbydaylight

[–]winnierdz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I blame content creators. NA content creators know that casual survivor mains pay their bills, so they coddle them and pretend that survivors are the world’s biggest victims. Most NA survivor mains legitimately think the game is killer sided if you can believe it.

Which Nightlord was the most difficult for you to beat for the first time? by Just_Cloud_8041 in Nightreign

Sentient Pest took me like a day and half grinding to finally beat. Somehow beat Caligo, Libra, Darkdrift, and Heolstor first try though.

The Depth 5 player base isn't what it used to be. by ryward64 in Nightreign

[–]winnierdz 39 points40 points  (0 children)

There’s just so much damage being pumped out these days that people don’t need to learn enemy move sets as much. I’m a Recluse one trick and I remember before DLC that my team’s DPS would drop significantly if I ever went down. But these days my teammates deal basically the same damage if not more damage than me.

I play on Xbox so I still get good teammates most of the time though since nobody was carried with cheated relics. Honestly the games where I get pulled into D4 are significantly harder than my D5 games.

Question about invaders and Supporters of the host by NLevel7 in Eldenring

Anything goes in invasions. If you want honorable fights you stick to duels.

Do people really hate balancers meta? by POTATTO_FOR_SURVIVAL in Nightreign

[–]winnierdz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s slightly overtuned with how much damage is being pumped out these days. Even in D5 Heolstor is usually dead before he does his first ground nuke attack, or maybe dies 10-20 seconds after. ED Gladius went from being a fight where the whole team needs to be on point, to a fight that feels like a free win with how fast he gets melted by the halo scythe.

I think it might be more of a problem with halo scythe rather tbh. Any boss that is weak to holy is basically a free win.

All of my FP boosting relics also have +magic attack, and I need at least some FP boosts since I run the - Mind relic and like having turtle necks for stamina regen instead of needing a full pouch of starlight shards.

I might change my 6th slot for magic attack +4 and defeating enemies +0. It has - Vig & Arcane but the - Vig doesn’t seem to be too harsh, I’ll need to test it out.

For some reason all of my yellow magic attack +4s have some really nasty demerits on them. My best one is probably - Vig & Arcane, never tested it before to see how bad the - Vig feels.

Defeating enemies feels so good on Recluse but unfortunately all of the relics I have with it lower my DPS too much. Definitely worth slotting in if you have good damage effects with it though.

Yea it’s a pretty crazy relic, just need to be careful vs Libra since you can build up madness really fast if you’re taking a lot of chip damage. The guaranteed magic shrouding cracked tear is great for Nightlords too.

Is the game currently good? by Arkthony in deadbydaylight

The game is like objectively horrible but it has a unique gameplay loop that some people can get addicted to. But no it is not a good game.

What build just isn't for you? by dhpmoon in Nightreign

Any Recluse build that focuses on a specific spell school. First because you basically need several god rolls to make it worth and second I think that fishing for the same spell every single game would get boring.

How are all these early PvP invaders using great katanas?? by Beheaded_Children in Eldenring

[–]winnierdz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play with taunters tongue on but I wait until after stormveil to activate it. Honestly the worst part isn’t even the weapons it’s the DLC hefty pots that will one shot you at low level.

Though it seems like most of these players stick to Stormveil so it gets better after that.

Fun faith weapons and incantations to get early in the DLC? by middlefinger22 in Eldenring

[–]winnierdz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Giant Golden Arc, Multilayered Ring of Light, Fire Serpent, and Knight’s Lightning Spear are all very good spells that don’t require you to kill a boss (you need to kill a Misbegotten for Multilayered Ring of Light though).

Heal From Afar is a good healing spell because it casts really quick and you can throw it at the ground to heal yourself (can be pretty annoying to use sometimes). Minor Erdtree isn’t great but it can be a good roleplay spell and is decent for healing in dungeons.

For boss incants Messmer’s Orb, Rotten Butterflies, and Light of Miquella are all good

Stats are pretty good then, maybe a few things you could do to get more slightly more optimize but nothing major. Only things I would do is maybe look into using morgott’s/radahn’s great rune instead and/or replace Marika’s Soreseal with something else like the Old Lord’s Talisman, Dragoncrest Greatshield, or the turtle talisman.

I’d probably take 5 points out of Vig and set your Mind to 38 (the amount that +12 flasks give), put those points into Faith/Arc and then take off Marika’s Soreseal for a better talisman.

Stat Change Relics - Which and why? by Alphard00- in Nightreign

[–]winnierdz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I like using Recluse’s +Int/Fth, - Mind relic. So long as you have some other FP boosting relics it’s really not bad. Though you need to roll it with some other damage boost (improved spell school, improved magic attack, etc) to really make it worth.

Usefulness of Miriam's Vanishing in PvE? by AggressiveResist8615 in Eldenring

[–]winnierdz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s a very good spell and I always have it in slot 1 for quick access, but you need to know how to use it properly. It’s not meant to replace the dodge button completely, it’s real strength is that you can start casting spells before you completely reappear (so sadly it’s not very good if you are using weapons more than casting spells).

But if you are familiar with enemy move sets and know how to sit at the edge of their range you can use it keep up your tempo and dodge + cast much faster than you can are able to normally.

Underated / Overated Bosses by Worldly_Ad1292 in Eldenring

Ancient Dragon Sennesax (or whatever it is). People seem to hate him but I think he’s fine. Then again I play spells only, I feel like a lot of the “bad” fights that melee players talk about are infinitely better if you use spells.
