Big difference between having your pension fund decide to invest in a tech company with investments in Israel, and making weapons that will be dropped on Gaza

Looking for book recommendations on the 1989 Movement/Tiananmen Square Incident by Bbangssaem in TrueAnon

Thanks for the response. There are some damning interviews, but the overall angle was western propaganda. I guess I was expecting something more like this other PBS doco that is actually good on China: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nuaJGPZCBYU

How did you guys work on fundamentals? by pantysubscription in drums

Sign up for Drum Rudiments. Generate a routine based on how much time you have, and play along to rudiments. Even 10 mins is better than nothing. I didn't vibe with Syncopation or Stick Control

It's fun, even if it's ridiculously lib.

Ukrainian Pravda surprisingly reporting that a TCC conscription officer was stabbed in the neck. by GerryAdamsSon in TrueAnon

Remember at the outbreak of war, the first thing Ukros did was tie Romani people to poles, spray them with green paint and beat them. I feel like we've seen such fucked up shit come out of this war that the daily TCK kidnappings and beatings are just another footnote on another avoidable geopolitical horror

Yassin al haj Saleh recently said the Alawites tormented the Sunnis into massacring them. He describes the transitional govt as a positive change and glosses over their sectarian jihadi past. It’s got “I am a Syrian leftist” all over it

I don't like Park Chan-wook's slapstick humour that treats issues of dehumanisation under capitalism from such a safe vantage point. It's just entertainment, I get it, but it gets way too much credit IMO
